Aztec pyramid flights

...and what might this style be? (n)

I'll definitely keep everyone posted on the progress.

@Davescharf @Husam @Madegwen59 concur that bits and pieces are a way to go, this I'm now strongly considering.:cigar:

What is a bit confusing though is the bonus part, the when to add which bonus and in what order(n)
Set your planes off and activate the bonus jusf before you land. Then you don't waste any time.

One plane, 100 runs in 10 mins. Hmmmm. Send me a video! Like to see what state you're in after! 10 runs a minute? You have to click, find the flight, load fuel, load passengers and then take off. THEN land, click, reclick Etc. Back to back 5 a minute? What's the point? Going really fast doesn't change anything and you're more likely to click on the wrong flight!

The youth of today, have to do everything at 10 000 kilometres an hour! :)
:D
I'll time how long it takes when I get there, but I can't see the point of stringing it out.
But, I think it'll be generating passengers that might slow things down.

I might be able to use the remaining Dice time to some good use, but I'm not sure what the best items to go for. Maybe those elusive repair items would be as good as any. I've just realised my initial idea won't work, as I was after collectibles, not items.

old style is starting from the beginning of the game and follow the story line and do all quests as they come. Adventure buildings help will not be relied upon to advance.
If you completed all lower levels and at higher levels waiting for long distance flights to complete without speeding up using extra fuel. Then fly for adventure buildings.

There is no need to go a flying binges to any one destination.

Normally, I'd agree with you. However, after getting 3 stars at several destinations, I discovered that I wasn't getting all that much of a return as the seasoned players had in the past. For example, I flew 118 flights to three-star Nepal, but only earned enough collectibles to receive one Alpine House. Rather than spending greenies on bonuses to increase the odds of receiving more items, why not redeem the awards from the adventure buildings that produce collectibles?

Is there really any advantage to use more than one plane on excavation flights, if the plan is to speed up all the flights with fuel?
I was just intending to use 1 turboprop.
I would recommend to fly simultaneously as many planes as many runways I have. I believe that accepting more planes at a time makes the drop rate higher.
So if you have e.g. 3 runways fly 3 planes, speed all of them up with fuel at the same time and send them in flight again simultaneously.

Just FYI, my latest run to Londonium and Bibracte netted me over 200 flights each to get 36 drops. It really sucks because i needed 5 Alarm Clock and 40,000 fuel to feed all of them (those are Powerful Delta). Did it last saturday and it remain one to get Stonehedge
If you create a passenger bonus collection area you could reduce the amount of alarm clocks you need drastically. You have plenty of room for it. It takes a little more time to gather all the passengers but it is worth it in my opinion for me. You also have some airport cash producing buildings where i do not. With that being said it would probably be easier for you to just buy the alarm clocks.

Adventure Building Rant Ahead: I for one am not crazy about adventure buildings as most people. I believe having a few just for the heck of it is fine , but if you're going to rely on them to complete specific collections, then I think the idea is flawed. You only get a benefit from the adventure buildings if you manage to collect all 6 from all the different maps you can fly (think it's about 120 to 130 possible buildings), which would take years to do, of course. The biggest reason why I say relying on adventure buildings for collection completion is flawed is that the item generation is random, and has a large amount of items to select from. Adventure buildings should be looked at as a passive way to complete collections, not active. They should be more of a "oh ok cool item", more than a "I really really hope I get an Iceland Crest after 120 clicks on adventure buildings today". Even the item buildings for launches suffer the same flaw, but at least for those buildings, the items generated are more specific, so your odds of completing a collection is greatly improved. I would rather focus my efforts on a specific collection by flying or neighbor visits instead of hoping that one day an adventure or launch building will give me the item that I need. Adventure buildings are perfect for those whose goal is to complete every single collection at least once. Now for those people, adventure buildings are a must, because you're getting help as you complete ALL the collections. However, most of us are very specific collectors, and we usually pursue collections that give us a reward we seek (building, item, etc.). Many will disagree with me, and that's ok. Everyone's playing style is different. Just my 7 cents.

I agree that if a player's objective is to complete a specific collection, using the adventure buildings is not a good tactic simply because of randomness of the collectible items they offer.

However, if the player intends to play AC for the long run, there is no better way to complete collections. I have had five adventure buildings for about three months now, and I am noticing results with more collections being completed. Think about it ... 5 buildings = 5 collectible items per day ... for the last 120 days ... that's 600 collectible items I might not have had otherwise.

In a previous post, I mentioned how I had 3-starred Nepal, but only earned one Alpine House. With the combination of flights earning the items and the adventure buildings producing daily collectibles, I now have three Alpine Houses.

So agree, going for a specific collection, adventure buildings not a great idea. Going for more collections overall, adventure buildings the best way to go.

To piggyback onto @PhactorPhil’s comment it’s also really helpful to accumulate items for destinations you’d can’t currently fly to.

One example of this is the Tehran collection. 5 collections gives you a nuclear power plant which gives you 150 electricity. That’s a lot cheaper than 30 greens for Tesla power. The adventure buildings in a short time have dropped about 50% of the items I need for those collections and I haven’t flown a single Thunderbird plane.

Your opinion is spot on though if you’re trying to actively use those collections

Yup that's my exact point. I've also seen the benefits of having adventure buildings, as I already have 3 and will have about 5 or 6 when I'm done (maybe more in the future). I did a rant because many players make it seem as if you will fail miserably without adventure buildings, which I highly disagree with. They are a great help, but they don't make or break you. Now not having enough fuel....THAT will make or break you, for instance. The other thing to consider is how much space those buildings take up. After 80 expansions, you pay 40 greenies (20 on the expansion sale) and unless you have a way to generate greenies via a mint, casino or bank, you may want to think twice before flooding your city with adventure buildings. The key is knowing your goals and going about it the best way possible.

As I said to Phil, I completely agree. I've also seen benefits from destinations I haven't flown, and I think it's a huge help if you plan on flying to those destinations eventually.
Glad you brought up the nuclear power plant, because it's easy to say that it's a lot cheaper than the 30 greenies for a tesla plant, but then when you compare the amount of land needed, the advantage quickly disappears. Remember, you need 2 nuclear power plants for every one tesla(2x150 vs 1x300), and as you get up in levels, land expansion expenses go up. You may end up spending that 30 greenies to make room for all those nuclear power plants and flying countless hours for the collection, when you could simply pay 30 greenies for the tesla and save some space. Just an example that shows all may not be as clear as it seems.

Does sky captain bonus have any affect on adventure flights if it is activated without any other bonuses (dice, golden dice)? If yes, what will be affected (flights for maps or flights for items)?

OK! @Crashfree @Madegwen59 @PhactorPhil
Here are my results: amid the many distractions I eventually managed;
18 bird helmets - 42 flights - 42.86%
19 serpants - 38 flights - 50.00%
18 temples - 56 flights - 32.14%
19 knives - 54 flights - 35.19%
18 bas-relief - 46 flights - 39.13%

14680 passengers & 15456 units of fuel used.

I am sure there are a lot of improvements that can be made and yes give me your take.

You've got some good results especially serpents and helmets. 236 flights in 6 hours is more than i do ! You used just golden dice? Breakdowns? Bad weather? So you have 3 pyramids, not bad in one go.
