Hi All,

Progress is being made with the Quest. I have completed the first two collections and one Cold War collection. There are still 8 days left, so hope springs eternal !!

The lava is rapidly taking over my City. Scary

My support game is still stuck in its timewarp, refusing to reset the Gifting and Visiting window. I have raised a ticket with GI Support.

Here is their latest reply :-

You may currently experience extended waiting period from our Team to reply. Ongoing high volume of requests we are facing keeps us a little behind. We will do our best to get in touch at the earliest opportunity.

I had that message when my android rolled back after the last patch, but 24 hrs later they sent a second email that guided me to a possible solution. I followed their steps and it was back up and running! I was actually very pleased with their speed this time around, especially after receiving the "it's gonna take a while" message.

@jimstreet @gbswales - share your frustrations with the events - I only collect chainsaws now as I have decided which stars I want to get from the new destinations before I stop flying to them - I have only earned enough bits for 2 institutes, and can't see any point in getting any more.

Like you said, the cold war collection is the thing - I have wasted so many flights that could be collecting launch items or stars instead! still, will keep going - the theory across the forums is that to make the game last the full period, the drop rate will start picking up nearer the end so dog in there. Heres hoping!!!

Great news gang - my cross platform exchange experiment worked - I found a colleague on ios who could send me flatbed scanners, and following a PM exchange, we connected and are successfully gifting - so if you are struggling, as I am with some level 10 items, don't restrict yourself to windows, go out and search siggies and go for it!!!!

That is my conclusion too - especially since I noticed that the only Information link about the quest shows up as "You cannot finish this quest early" it makes sense therefore that they are holding back on the later items needed. I have decided that I will lay off pursuing this destination, maybe just 1/2 flights a day, until I see at least one neccessary item drop - pointless to keep wasting telescopes if the items are not around anyway!

It has been that way since the upgrade - there seems to be full interaction between Windows, Android and IOS (not sure about Facebook and Amazon players)
There is a pretty sound argument for merging the windows/android and IOS sections of these forums - I find myself constantly having to cross post for gift requests and space flights etc

Lets hope that I have a similar experience. It is particularly annoying as I can't send gifts such as Office Chairs !! I have sent a Power Source instead.

Good luck with the Cold War Collection. I think the drops are improving now.

sounds good - I'm on the soft stuff until off my meds at the weekend, and then boy will it be party time!!!!
