Can you take another pic of it with the bonuses - not on background view. I have a bonus square but cant seem to get past 50% so I must be doing something wrong somewhere.

I'll have to pay a visit.

I learned from @Pit1024 but basically you use an empty 2x2 square surrounded by the various buildings that provide a passenger multiplier. You then move your available buildings into the square before collecting giving you the bonus on whatever building is in the square. I hope this helps, but Pit1024 is more knowledgeable than I on this.

So you basically need to surround an empty 2x2 square by (1) 1x1 bonus buildings with radius 1 and 1 1x1 road), then surround the new 4x4 structure by (2) 1x1 bonus buildings with radius 2 and then surround the so created 6x6 structure by (3) bonus buildings with higher radius.
(1) you can use either the standard Tree, Lake and Angel Monument but better result will give (5% vs 10%) Mystery City or Garden Square (paid building )
(2) best to be used is Mystery Metro Station (again paid building) but there are some Heli buildings which can be used (Winter Hotel and Archeological Camp)
(3) you can use here special event awards - what I have collected until now is Fall Mansion from Thanksgiving Day '17, Card Tower from Down the Rabbit Hole '17, Gates of Amun from Curse of the Valley of the Kings '17, Cloud Castle from Cloud Atlas Collection and let me not forget one Heli building - Skiing Facility from flights to Mont Blanc.

Building bonus squares are a lifesaver. It's the only way I've been able to keep up with the required pax for flight maps for larger planes. Pit already explained the details of it, so everyone should have enough details to make it happen. Have him to thank as well for the idea.

Not to sound all that contrarian, but it seems like a lot of work to move a building in and out every time I want to collect.

I may still look at this as an option for the Powerful Deltas and larger planes I’m starting to fly for excavation missions etc but not on a regular basis
