Rsorour & greensmith - that logic only applies to normal programming and ofcourse you can put a bias towards an item etc... {very normal in any type of betting or any money making making game}

GIS's programing is nowhere close...

You will always find there is one item (in any collection) that you will not get easily (or never at all) - the classic sports bag in the "Ready for the Journey" is a very good example for this...

I found that if you have clicked on 4 to 5 butterfly nets - the drop rate of the butterfly's drops dramatically... - So the best option for me was to click the first 5 butterflies and then wait for about 1hr - almost every time I got 1 if not two butterflies - but one was much harder to find....

Yep - think is all down to luck than logic - it also helps if you play pretty much non stop over a weekend!!! Having said that I seem to recall my best drop rates for the little critters came when I would click on 2 butterflies, hard exit the game and click on 3 more butterflies 20 mins and then 40 mins later. This was not really a strategy just the way I played out the game between doing other things -As always with "GI Suck" quests there is 1 item that is a swine to get - mine was the red admiral.

Today 3/11/2013 9:00 AM EST - for the first time since early December 2011 - I have NO USERNAMES !!!!! NOT one singe USERNAME !!!!!

I can see all my neighbors and what is very suprising is that the Levels are all much higher than I had recorded in my daily log.

How long will this last - well who knows. But you can count on me to tell you when Voldemort returns -- Bill--

Is there a pattern starting to form here? I seem to remember that the username issue disappeared in the main over the last couple of quests for a few days when a challenge is half way through! Then just before a challenge finishes or a new one starts - bingo - GI logic prevails - we are all mostly usernames and left pi$$ed off again.

Wouw.... I never had so many hours in 1 go I could see all the names!!!!
I used it to make an inventory of my neighbors.... I have a lot of level 35 neighbours but also a lot that don't play the game (level under 15 and not added in the last 2 month)

I hope it lasts....

I too have all names back on my ipad (Ianda11 (it's a capital i not a lower case l at the start of my name)) but no avatars. So I thought I'd do some neighbour housekeeping. I've sent requests to Beckyp and Ndh2. I also sent requests to the following players but don't think they were successful, so please add me if you can :-

Also - you are no longer a Username w/avatar so I was able to visit your airport - Wow lookin good! How did you get so many completions of Space Odysssey??? Bill PS Pakman has 4 !

FYI starting the 2nd day of "NO" usernames. Yesterday and this morning I visited every neighbor on my list, some several times, after my reset. However the was a problem with three. I Fly 2, must_dash, and Pilot2 - all three timed out. Tried several times but no success. Also - of note - I have not updated my Ipad2 since Feb 21st disaster. I keep getting notification to update but I just Cancel. So I know I'm at least two updates behind most of you. Bill

Great news on your Comets. My rocket hasn't landed yet; time zone I suspect. At around 10:30 AM Pacific Daylight Time I will launch again. You are welcome to join. I got the four Alien Legacy buildings before the challenge ended. As you know, now you need three Space Odyssey completions to get one Alien Legacy; I've got 0/3 right now but if a Supernova Explosion drops this time I'm on my way to a fifth.

(Update): I have completed the 'Spring Has Come' challenge and put up a conservatory. I have not had success collecting flowers from neighbor conservatories but they are source if you do not want to fully depend on shears. I will send shears to those who still need them. I could use some help with flight catering and spare props as my inventory is very low. Last night i gifted the following:

Boy, that was fast. I guess you don't have to wait 24 hours like the rest of us. So the Alien Legacy building isn't in your Warehouse? I don't know what to tell you. Did you check the Space Odyssey Collection page and touch the (i)? Mine says "Alien Legacy: collect 3 times (1/3)" which means I need two more to get a building. At least that's what I think? Perhaps there's a limit to the number of Alien Legacy buildings. Can anyone on the forum answer Bill's question?
