i wonder if the wife would want to see it, she saw star wars with my son, they did not like it as much

The film Darkest Hour is well worth it, it has collected many film awards. As for Star Wars, it is not for all.

Oh, and we went to see Ready Player One the other weekend.

I'd read the book (well, listened to Will Wheaton narrating the audiobook) - I'm still undecided whether the differences between them made or hindered the movie.
The book wasn't ever going to win awards, and the movie needed *some* changes to make it work...but...


Also, without reading through all the pages so apologies for repetitions, and with a nod and a wink to my old home, may I contribute the following?
Les Visiteurs (don't be put off by the awful Hollywood remake)
Taxi 1-4 (don't be put off by the awful Hollywood remake...can you see a theme?)

Thank you very much, I was very pleased to read your post. I'm so glad I'm not the only one who enjoys watching Japanese Anime - there had to be a few forum members like myself, who enjoys this genre (style of film making). I'm with your wife, on this one, Blueray would work out to be expensive for the entire set.

Very nice indeed, the framed canvas print will look great on your wall. The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938) is the one original film poster, I would like to have above all the other film posters.

The only book I have read about Errol Flynn is Satan's Angel by David Brett

My favorite boxed set is the Band of Brothers and The Pacific combo pack. It is a very well done recounting of two different American military units during both the European and Pacific theaters during WWII. Both series were TV mini-series produced for HBO.
