It has been a while since last recommending a film, this one Darkest Hour (released in early June 2018), priced at £10.00 is well worth buying. Winner of multiple film awards, it would make a fine edition to any film buff collection:

Following on from my last film recommendation, Journey's End (2018) - released in early June 2018, is priced at £10.00 - and well worth the money.

Released in May of this year, The Post (2018), has Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks as the main lead actors and with Steven Spielber as director. The Post has collected many film accolades - nominations and awards. Priced at £7.00 it is well worth every penny.

Do you remember of the film "Revenge" ? You posted one message about it !
I watched it last weekend and ... I am so disapointed ! This film is really bad ! totaly incoherent, illogical and unbelievable ! Do you agree ?

It is not a film I have watched - going out to the cinema here in London, especially Central London, with family and friends, can become a very expensive exercise. If you include food, drink and transportation into Central London and out of Central London (no point in driving in, parking would be a great problem), the film would need to be something really worthwhile. This type of film would not normally be shown in the Greater London area.

ah ok ! But, it is available on VoD !

Not sure if it is, have never used that type of service before. Always prefer to purchase a copy on DVD, having first watched it, in the cinema. The film would need to be something really special to buy a copy.

The first day of a new month, here are a number of new films at the cinema, for you to watch - depending on your taste in films:

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again (PG)

Ten years after Mamma Mia! The Movie, this is the follow up, a return to the sun-drenched Greek island of Kalokairi in an all-new original musical based on the songs of ABBA.

Generation Wealth (18)
Postcard from the edge of the American Empire captures a portrait of a materialistic, image-obsessed culture.

The Receptionist (18)
Inspired by true events, this award-winning film follows the lives of the employees and clients of an illegal massage parlour in London.

Mission: Impossible – Fallout 2D (12A)
The past returns to haunt our hero as the threat of nuclear terrorism casts a dark shadow over the world.

The Escape (15)
Built around a remarkable central performance, The Escape is a perceptive, deeply compassionate portrait of a woman on the rocky road to becoming herself.

Sicilian Ghost Story (15)
Set in a little Sicilian village at the edge of a forest, this is the story of adolescent innocence and painful reality.

The Heiresses (12A)
A quietly unfurling masterpiece centred on the life of two woman from wealthy families in Asunción, Paraguay, as their lives unravel.
