So, from those with the experience of it in the past, is this event easy to complete and worth going for?

Or should I ignore it and carry on with alliance tasks and building my airport?

I did this one last year and it was the most difficult one I have ever done. I completed with about 1 hour to spare after playing all day, every day. This one won't be easy but the interim building - the Institute of Volcanology is a pretty good building if you play throughout the day - 36 coins every 20 mins.--- if this is the same as last year... I'm Windows so haven't seen it yet.

Agreed. So I hope they made the event easier.

When you complete the three quests, a plane drops something on the volcano that extinguishes it.

You can then get the reward building.

The event continues so you can get more marshmallows and other items.
I played the quest last time and had a lot of items left over. So when I started this year's edition, I already had two of the three sub-quests completed. I just had to send flights to get the Cold War collection items. Drops were very good so I could complete it quickly.
This is a reminder to the newer players that even if you don't earn the quest reward this time, keep going and collect items for the next! Persistence pays off eventually.

Well, I thought the videos were fixed. I get 2 videos with reward, then after I watch the next video, I get the "this offer is not available" popup. Then why on earth do they make me sit through the stupid video if they're not going to give me anything??!!!

Good thing I did the event last time so I have 540 jackhammers and lots of items in the 3 collections. It will be a easy event and I will try to get the Jumbo Ranger and add more stars (three-starred only the two first ones last time).

Stuck in this grr rehab and wouldn't you know Olive Garden sponsored a luncheon for all residents and just as I go to sip my lemonade before the meal is served, i got whisked away for a doctors appointment.
Sure I still got my lunch, but reheated???!!! Yuck, Alfredo sauce does not reheat well.

A reminder to all playing the event - there are no drops when you visit your neighbors' Institutes of Volcanology. Only mentioning it because I've had about 10 visitors to mine so far. Wasted visits!!!!!!!!!!!
