I find the Spy Glass works very well. The key is tapping the buildings every four hours. I set a timer.

Unfortunately only 6 carriage workshops can be built...

So far with the SpyGlass and the SkyCaptain bonuses, the drops have been reasonable. I have completed 9 times the What Women Want collection flying mostly turboprops and falcons, and now started to three-star the Bahamas (Jets) Have completed four times the Little Tragedies collection, waiting for three Large Wheels, and Three Carriage Trunks to finish the quest. Sadly neighbors Carriage Workshops don't drop items, so I guess it's Planetariums all over again.

I'm not ignoring anyone on purpose, but I can't possibly be a one-man solution to every issue. Have you contacted support team? If you did, we'll find the ticket and investigate why this was not resolved for you long time ago.

I must admit that I am about to defend GI actually on this post

First, the quest, while hard, is pretty clear, and it's the first one in three years that actually has us "senior" players doing what we were doing when we started playing the game. Send flights all the time (strategically, choosing plane type and destination according to our budget, time, etc.) and waiting for items to drop. The quest is 13 days long, which means it will NOT end like in previous re-ran quests where most of us (old-timers) could complete in two or three days. Hence, I considered this quite a challenge to play and try and complete the quest.

I understand people chasing stars, and I am not necessarily disagreeing. But, to me the priority are the new buildings, the quest itself, and the associated reward building vs. the stars. I do also understand that next year or the year after, I will be able to three-star many of these flights, just like I was able to do the Halloween flights this year, the Area 51 flights, etc. At the same time I also understand why GI disabled the old romantic buildings from providing romantic passengers, because if they did, old players would have an advantage. At the same time, old players do have the advantage of having more land (especially us who were able to get Casinos (and Mints/Banks) before their price skyrocketed) hence old players can put more buildings. The fact that these buildings go on the airport side is also a big plus, as most of us have plenty of airport space (for example, I can put all new buildings including the Carriage Workshops) on the airport side, while having 8 Level 5 and 6 runways) and a bunch of power stations. Besides, the amount of buildings that so far go to the airport side have been very limited, and lots of us were using our airport side for even drawing our names

So far I have to say that the spy glass and the sky captain bonus worked like a charm - I have completed already 4 carriage workshops, and I am one drop away from completing the Jewellery Box collection three times! The Carriage workshops so far today (first day completed) have given me a total of two drops, with the spyglass/sky captain bonuses, and I am constantly running a combination of falcons and turboprops to Seychelles and Atlantic City. I chose the turbo probs because after this quest, I want to do the Abandoned Space Port quest, hence strategically I was given a choice. I sold my 4 Giants and put my Gold Giant in the reserve hangar, and thus fly 4 turpoprops and 8 falcons to the destinations above...

Bugs aside (I know Android players have some issues), this so far has been the best update for me, and I was SO close to giving up on AC alltogether...

Ivan said they were not going to repeat this event. This will not be available next year to get those stars. He made it clear repeating events is very boring. That fact is you can not get enough romantic passengers to get 3 stars on the Falcon plane a little alone the other 5 planes you need. Yes I am a star chaser, but after this event I will not be anymore. I will go from a 1-10 (10 serious player) a 9 to a 4. When I play a game and the goal is impossible to complete I will lose interest.

Did Ivan mention if the carriage workshops will still produce passengers after the event? 40 passengers every 4 hours isn't too shabby.

He didn't say but I assume they will. When the carriage house is in the warehouse it says it is suppose to produce romantic passengers and it does not so I would assume it will continue with the 40 passengers. Past years valentine buildings produce passenger so I would assume this year would too.

This quest is brutal... First time in the game to experience a good 'Ol kick in the butt. With shortage of Romantic PAX I can hardly get my powerful deltas off the ground. Luckily, I completed all quest requirements. Just pushing for as many stars as I can get. Even I continue the quest thenextyear I'll be left with the hardest stars to collect: jumbos, Giants and falcons .
Wow! What a challenge ...Ivan you want to see us work hard and sweat it out..right?

What exactly made you upset so much? One building that produces regular passengers instead of romantic ones? Well, yes, that's an error, but a minor one.

3-starring every flight is not a challenge we make you play, it's the challenge that you take on your own if you want to.

Otherwise, if you don't like new special events and would prefer to do the old ones for the fifth time — well, there's really nothing to stop you from quitting the game, as we're going to do lots of cool NEW things this year.

Reward Building is Great ! As most of the reward buildings have been since I've been on board ! I especially like the Milk Barn . Looks Great next to the Crop Circles . And the Cyrstler , my whole city is built around it . The Atomium is also very Cool . I know there's some disappointment over the passenger situation on the Carriage Workshop , but what a beautiful building it is . I will be proud to have it on display throughout the year. Also the Empire State Building is a beauty . It would be great to have it next to the Cyrstler . Wish it wasn't so hard to get , but maybe next year . Again the building selection for the reward buildings is important to me and I've been Extremely Happy with them . Please keep up the good work and Thanks . Some kind of a Monument with a horse would be Cool . Maybe for a South American Event . Argentina has some cool ones but the politics that surround them is unknown to me . 1x1 would be good unless determined to small . One more time , Great building selection ! LB

Is this true? Is this just for iOs? I got curious and I tried it but it doesn't work on mine.

I am not sure if it works for all platforms but it does also work on windows PC.

Yes, it's true for iOS. Don't know about the other platforms. It's a known bug that will be fixed by GI eventually.

As DeeTee put it:

Small hangars are the ones for attack planes (Russian mission) or the X-mas hangars for sleighs.
If you make them empty by selling your attack planes and sleighs (check your stock if you have enough attack planes/sleighs to replace them in the future, or deserve new ones in coming quests) you can move any type of plane from Reserve hangar to these Small hangars. Only loading time will be a little longer then usual. The maximum for Small hangars is 6 in total so if you have them you can fly 18 planes at the same time!​

So that explains why I could only build 2 sleigh hangars. I have 4 Russian hangars.

Quest completed! Will wait a few days and complete to collect more collections but I must admit this was too enjoyable.

Used a total of 4 sky captain and four spyglasses but all worth it.
