General Map destinations

Good day all

How do you fly your map destinations?
Do you instantly return your planes after sending them out or you let your planes simmer for the duration of the allocated time? ...and why?

Depends, for me maps that are on a timer, I send them out and instantly return them to get as many flights in as possible. These maps are typically found in the map section of storage.

When I fly Excavation flights to obtain the maps to fly to the adventure destinations, I let the light last the entire duration. When possible, I activate Dice just prior to landing to increase chances of receiving the desired maps.

When I am flying the adventure maps themselves, I use fuel to speed them up and golden dice to increase chances of receiving the desired collection items. I do this because of the time limit on the map.
