Thank you for the update. Will you give us a notice before the realease so we can plan our flights/fuel/gifting/neighbour visits (too many times i have sent all my planes away moments before an event starts..)?

And as always a delay is a lot better than bugs!

Well I guess if you don't ask.... :D

The usual scenario is that the first most of us know that an update has been released is a post on here. The updates do not all happen at once, each format (IOS, Windows, Facebook, Android) happen some distance apart - sometimes even a couple of days apart. You might end up holding your aircraft on the ground for 2 or 3 days after the initial "notification." It might be worth keeping some fuel in reserve and just accelerating flights when you update - if you do that with dice/golden dice and business class, you get some useful extras for the cost of the fuel. (y)

That is why I do not spend $$$ on AC like I used to - you keep changing the rules to favor some players over others and to devalue buildings people spent a lot of money purchasing (ie: planetariums) Also I guess if I go on a two week vacation my game it going to be deleted so I won't spend any money on AC now because of the risk I may be busy and not play for a week. AC used to be fun now it's getting to the point I best spend the time on something of value.

oh - and one more thing - if someone has a computer crash like I did this spring and they do not get back online after a week then find out their game was deleted are going to be pissed off (and rightfully so) Appears I best spend the time and money doing other things since it appears AC is not going to go back to being fun.

It's my understanding that only your gifts that are over 7 days old will be deleted. Not your game.

Per Ivan "Incoming gifts now have expiration timers, and you have one week to take it from the moment the gift was sent.*** That’ll be the same timer both for taking it and sending it back since so many of you have asked us to keep a list of accepted gifts for some time."

I went to play my games that were ZZZZzz mode today and although I collected some gifts, some games had been dozing so long, that I couldnt send as many gifts as normal

I don't know where you've picked up this crazy idea, but it's certainly not something I've written anywhere. There's a thin line between 'you don't get a few gifts because you didn't play the game at all for a week' and 'we'll delete your game if you take a break for a few days'. The former is going to be true, the latter is nonsense.

I do wonder how everyone's hardware will behave when 300 gifts will pop up each with its own countdown timer attached to it. Wouldn't updating the gift list with this extra info increase the load on the servers and our bandwidth too?
