I clicked every dead tree in my city. Not one toy. Thus, no volcano flights. At least flying for cold war items helps me work towards more stars. Back to saving coins for a furniture factory.

This is the best resource for everything regarding Airport City. You will find a close knit community of very friendly, supportive people who all share the same goals - To build the best city and airport possible using their imaginations, creativity, ingenuity and problem solving abilities. With the help of this forum, you will be able to advance further, and faster then you normally would playing on your own.
In addition, we have many long term players who are very knowledgeable in the flights, destinations, planes, requirements and other useful information that will make your gaming more pleasurable.
Here are a few tips and suggestions to follow in order to make your gaming and forum experience the best, and most productive it can be. You may be familiar with some of them, but there may be others you are not.
* Introduce yourself in the Windows Weekly Trading thread. We encourage participation between forum members, both game wise and just conversationally. There are many people from all across the globe here, and you can learn a great deal from chatting and participating. Feel free to ask as many questions as you can come up with, I'm sure one of us will be able to help you.
* If you look at everyone who has posted, you'll notice a signature containing their forum name, game name, level, stars, hearts, friend code, time zones, etc. In that signature, they will also place the items they need for their game, and also the items they can gift to neighbors. This way, everyone knows what they all need, and also what everyone can gift. This will make things a lot easier for you, as well as your neighbors.
* Before finding neighbors, look around the forum. There are many other areas shared with other platforms with news, information, tips and other helpful things that can expand your knowledge of the game, and how to best achieve your goals.
If you receive a friend request from a forum member:
* They should have "tagged" you (@ symbol followed by forum username - Like I did with you above), or sent you a private message telling you they sent the request. You will receive 200 coins when they add you.
* If you choose to accept the request, click on the green arrow box that appears with their name on it in your, 'Waiting" tab, which is located in your neighbors icon. Enter that persons friend code into the friend code tab That person will receive 200 coins for you adding them.
You should now be connected as neighbors and gifts may be exchanged and you can visit their airport / city!
If you send a friend request to a forum member:
* You should "tag" them or send them a private message telling them you did so. Many forum members do not accept blind friend requests, especially from possible non forum members. When you input their code (Like instructed above), they will receive 200 coins.
* Once that member has received your friend request, they should input your friend code to complete the connection. This would give you 200 coins.
You should now be connected as neighbors and gifts may be exchanged and you can visit their airport / city!
If you have just started out, you may be unaware that there are also some bonus features that are available in the game that you can take advantage of. These include:
* Every weekend, G! puts out a weekend code. This code gives you 3 greenies, and $2000. in coins when you input it. The code is usually first posted in the Airport City News forum, but someone always posts it in the Windows Weekly Trading thread as well. It can be input into the same place you put friend codes.
* Every other week, G! offers land expansions at 50% off. This is a great way of increasing your airport or city size.
* Every other week opposite from the land expansion sale, is a 300% bank offer, where when you purchase greens or cash with real money, you would get 300% more for the same amount of real money (Ex: instead of 32 greens for $8.99, you would get 96.)
* This site - http://airportcity.wikia.com/wiki/Airport_City_Wiki - is great for finding out what items are needed to complete all buildings, items required for flights, excavation flights, space launches, etc. You should bookmark it for future reference.
The forum also has some special features that you can take advantage of that may interest you as well:
* This thread - https://www.airportcitygame.com/forums/vip-lounge.30/ will allow you to actually become a "VIP member" for a small yearly fee (<$5.00 I believe). Wow wasted greenies on spyglass and after 2 hours and 10 minutes into it, from several destinations, I've yielded nothing but regular items from all of them. Nothing special whatsoever. Volcano has coughed up nothing; not even a slight burp.
And burnt trees remain to be just that.

Well yesterday I used a spyglass with a golden dice a bit before gifting/visiting time reset. I had quite
a bit of success with getting chainsaws from neighbors burnt trees. Also saw a noticeable uptick in particulate
filters and a few drops from gates of hell collection and the volcano. Worked well enough for me that I am saving
all chainsaws received as gifts until tomorrow when I will activate the same bonuses near time reset. Been using
a couple jackhammers today without bonuses but have enough of those that it won't affect being able to do so when the bonuses
are active tomorrow.(no drops from volcano w/o bonuses so far) It is always confusing to me which to activate so have almost always used both of these
in the past when I thought I needed a bump for an event. That cold war collection is another story more proof
of the non randomness of many things in this game.

Hi all,
I've noticed something that I will report to GI but I thought I would check here to see if anyone else is experiencing this and has anything to add.
Yesterday I noticed that I was missing the $ icon on top of my Institute after 20 minutes had passed. I clicked on the Institute and got my coins and bonus coins! So I restarted the game and got the $ icon. Had to do it several times but all seemed to be ok until I realized that I hadn't got a single jackhammer nor anything from the chainsaws nor the volcano all that day since the first occurrence. This morning I started rebooting my machine when it happens (3 times so far I think) and I've been getting jackhammers about every third time and got two rocks from the volcano. Haven't had the nerve to try the chainsaws. Thought I would check here first. Anybody else getting this? Rebooting is tedious but better than going all day without getting anything.

Ever since the latest update, many icons will not appear, though they are there. This happens with flights coming in, shuttle landings, commercial and residential buildings. Instead of rebooting, or exiting the game, try this tip:
If you're familiar with your buildings and residences, you generally know when they're due. If you see 3 of your 5 cottages are ready to give passengers, I almost guarantee the other 2 are as well. Simply click on the Town Hall, Repair Base or Control Tower... Or, you can click on a wind turbine or solar panel. The icons should all then appear, and you can collect. it's much easier then exiting, or rebooting.
You will also notice the same type of thing, and a slight delay, when you first sign into the game (Meaning the flight icon, fuel icon, passengers, coins, etc.). When you first sign on, they are not there, but as soon as it finishes loading, they appear.

Word to the wise - plan your buildings well ahead and look for neighbours with things you MAY need and stockpile. That's why I am collecting all my level 10 items early. I wa going to send a gift to a neighbour in need, and upgraded something a day or so before and it disappeared - I now can't help them and they are searching for help! With send and return from hidden slots gone, we need to be opportunist and gather things for the future whilst we can - for example I can gift currency detectors, which level 10 terminals need, but as soon as I have upgraded I suspect they will vanish - I need currency detector, and haven't found anyone else who can currently gift them! Plan your buildings well ahead.

Spaceship Launches: Using Up Smaller Resource Items
The next Group Launch will be Blue and take place tomorrow, Friday 14th October at 17.00pm GMT London. This blue launch will be opened by @Wired Parrott (WP2 Account) and will remain open until the fuel gauge is full. If you are planning on taking part I hope you have kept this in mind when opening and/or joining a launch during today.
All launch places are open using only the following small resources - Small Fuel Tank (6 points), Additional Stabilalizer (12 points), Explosive Bolt (24 points) and Solid Fuel (12 points). The maximum opening resource investment is 54 and QL's can be used.
Once the flight has returned and paid out, I will update and post the Flyers League Table, aggregated data set for each flyer.
A new thread will be posted in the Launch section once the launch has been initiated, confirming which launch to join.
