Useless Buildings

Nah hotel is quite good. The work to get it is annoying, but it has one of the better coins/hour rate (anything above 40/hr is pretty good). People say coin collecting buildings are useless, but I disagree...especially with the new types of alliance buildings that are out there.

What’s the best way to get items needed to build the hotel. I’m on level 25 and seem to be stuck. Do they drop from flights?

Neighbors and watching ads are your best bet. State the items you want by abbreviating it in your username in the game. Example: "Captain S hotel"

Interesting on reading differing approaches. The big payers (e.g water park 504 coins every 3 days) earn their keep if you make use of the bonuses Golden Toad and Inconvertable Coin. I am at a fairly modest level, and can convert these bonuses to raise nearly 20,000 cash within a couple of hours (the Toad raises 10,000 in just one hit). This of course costs 10 green cash, but is good value if you need a sudden coin hit. This also doubles the output of the car dealership for 3 hours (648 coins per dealer or 3240 for my 5 dealers using Inconvertable coin). Another big payer is the research lab - 204 coins may only be every 2 days, but it costs only 5000 to buy, does not require any population, and uses only 3 electricity. Drops a lot of space bonuses too. Great to hit neighbours research labs for lots of bonuses.

Most useless for me is cosmic fuel station (89 solid fuel stored and rising) and duty free (that could be so much fun, but it is difficult to stock, and profits simply don't reflect real life duty free outlets!)

I think the best way to earn coins is by doing red launches and (flighs ore adventure flights in combination withbonusses like SC and LC .
10 planes need 500fuel and 5000pax to generate 32400coins and 9360xp.
Then there are the launches.
10Red launches in first place get you 200000coins and in 2nd ore 3rd 100000coins (but sinds latest updates it has become more difficult to gater launchprep from the planetariums )the droprate has decreased to a bare minimum .
if you check out the city's off mayor players you will notice that they opt for passenger generating buildings for the simple fact that the coin produing buildings are a waste off space and income
to get back to the useless buildings the solidfuelfactory in your own town only generates solid fuel but wilest visiting neighbors and clicking it it drops the most dificult to get item lunar landinggear needed to complete the lunar module for red launches
i would say the dropratio is the same as for planetariums ore even better

My game is josh-70 . I personally don’t have coin generating buildings now because I make more in a day from red launches than in a month with cash buildings But when my city was growing these buildings were priceless in helping me buy things ...

I agree that red launches are the easiest way to gain money.....if you're doing red launches daily and/or doing QL reds on a weekly basis at least. I will always have coin buildings, because they generate income in between doing launches. The thing is that most players just put any commercial building to gain coins, and in reality, you need to be selective. I currently gain about 1500 coins an hour with my buildings, and I collect at least 10 times per day. That's 15000 coins a day, which is almost as much as a first place red. The downside is that you have to collect each hour, which may be a daunting task for some.

Definitely duty free, but @Kesh cosmic fuel stations actually have a use, but its more useful for your neighbors. The only thing I would say is not to buy upgrades to produce more (I was dumb and knew nothing). Just buy one and let it sit there. Neighbors will appreciate it because of the drop rate for the launch collections

I'm curious to the coin buildings you have in order to make 80k a day....unless the 80k includes other sources such as launches.

it includeds both and you have to also include the collections I complete from landing planes and from visiting neighbors. I have a specific group I visit to only hit Planetariums or launch pads.
Edit - i have lots of neighbors visiting me so i get a nice bump from them as well.

Ah thats what I thought. Collections go a long way, but if you have the right buildings with the right setup, coin buildings can really go a long way, especially between red launches which are not always easy to gather the necessary resources. People sleep on them because they put up ANY commercial building, which I do not recommend.
 
Hello everyone, just a quick question.

What do you think players, which building is the most useless in Airport City's store?

For me it's Business Centre.
Coz its not very cost effective.
Uses lots of energy, needs 3x3 land & coins generation amount is low with respect to its building cost.
So, what your pick?

hi can anyone tell me what does the Bank Branch actually do as I purchased one and it uses 23silver coins every 1hr
I don't understand the autocollect stuff what it supposed to do ??
Plus the other building autocollect and contracts??

Im sure you got the info already about these buildings, but Im going to answer just in case you didnt.
Auto collect buildings do exactly as they say....auto collect either coins, pax, or items that fall within their range. They cost gold and silver tokens to achieve. However, that's not the downside to these buildings. The downside is that the auto collect is only for a limited time, and you can only activate it if you set up a contract (like when you pay for fuel from the fuel station). Unfortunately, these contracts cost silver AND GOLD tokens to activate. In other words, these auto collect buildings are basically a useless vacuum for your hard earned, precious gold tokens.
I recommended GI to change these buildings to be more practical, but most people don't care enough about auto collection like I do.
