Update 8.3 Preview - Dark Skies

[Ur-quan]

We're going to launch spooky activities next week.

The Dark Skies event will be available to all players from the 7lvl.
Event duration: approximately 2 weeks.
Event Reward
Forsaken Abbey

• +20 max pop. cap
• generates 80 coins every 2 hours
• Boosts coins generation of nearby buildings

Walkthrough:

• Complete event flights to get items from Abnormal Activity collection and get Crystal ball upon it's completion.
• Activate Crystal Ball to enable ghost planes landing
• Collect Warlock's Collection from ghost planes to get Soul net
• Soul net will increase Black Wraiths appearance rate
• To get rid of Black Wraiths you will need an Aerosol
• Aerosol is available from event's flights and you can receive it from your neighbours as gifts.
• Black wraiths and event flights provide you with items for Witch Costume collection and it will allow you to build Halloween Shop
• Halloween Shop will provide you with Collection of the Seal items (additionally you can get them from Pumpkin Bed)

Event tasks:

• Banish White Phantoms (120)
• Get the Great Seal (1)
• Land ghost planes (50)
• Gather Warlock's Collection (1)
• Activate soul net (1)
• Gather Aerosol (30)
• Banish black wraiths (30)
• Gather Abnormal Activity collection (1)
• Activate crystal ball (1)

Additional features:

• Two event buildings were redisigned
• New shop and control tab for bonuses
• new plane purchase animation

Oh man my eyes are killing me, we went right from the airplane minigame quest, to the zoo quest, to the movies quest, now to this. first glance, we need a 8-green crystal ball to see ghost planes for only 6 minutes? We'll have to burn through 1.25 greens per minute?

Don't worry, those bonuses are really easy to get through normal play. I have 100 in my warehouse from last year.

I must admit that - as a more or less a novice player - reading Walkthrough gave me a minor headache ("to do X you need to have Y; to have Y you need to do Z; ...") . However, after the first hour of the event I hope I'll somewhat figure it out.

Again :New - Event - Format. The big difference: no daily rank-related price :-( . it means: not easy silver coins to get. not anymore. That is a big difference to the old event format. With the old event format it was easy to get every day some silver coins. Now: it is difficult. Sorry. I don't like the new event format. One reason i mentioned before, another is: too many things displayed on a screen. With a small handphone: it could be a problem to read everything. Too much information kills in this situation.

Having the same dillema, I decided to finish the event as soon as possible and then focus on alliance tasks (at least one, that's my bare minimum) and flights that bring launch preparation items.
Yes, greenies and golden chests are nice but the process to get them (if lucky enough) takes too much of my free time to do flights, manage fuel etc.

Hi @Rizzi87, relax, i'm not going to kick you out of the Alliance. Just play the upcoming event and have fun!
