I've just started my game AYON1, which is on android and the event Riding the Comet is there.
No need for visiting Google Play.
Only 1 thing.................the event will expire for me in 6 days and 3 hrs.

I am completely confused by all this? Surely a game is a game whatever the platform so why should it not be released at the same time for everyone? Am I being naive or just stupid? Answers on a postcard please!

Its because of the different platforms I doubt there is much to do about it from their side.

I used to feel the same way, however what it really takes is having friends who use QL. Once you figure that out, it is achievable. Also, stock up on items need to fund launches. People will like you more if you actually contribute more than a few token points to a launch.

Is this true on the greenie payments? So GI is paying players to prop up the game and be able to blindly defend GI stupidities at whatever cost? So is this why I see some lots of players that have maximum areas (that could have cost thousands of dollars if purchased) because they were given free greenies just to support and defend GI? I did not expect that GI is doing these payments!

Hmm. You fell into that one! I am an ordinary player just like you! No I’m not paid by GI! Never have been, never will. I possess 34 greens! Not enough even for a cup of tea let alone land at 120 discount price.

Ok. Thanks for the clarification. I have many neighbors that are full of exotic buildings in the maximum expansion possible. I do not have any idea how they ever expanded that much unless they have limitless money to splurge on upgrades and expansions. My only purchase were expansions (up to expansion 80) and stopped purchasing after that as the additional costs are not justified after those recent update mishaps. By the way, the IOS update (removal of excess buildings and puzzling and disparate free-ads periods) is atrocious compared to the Android update (excess buildings were not removed and free ads at 5 mins intervals). They are not structurally similar updates except maybe for the event. 3 greenies were given to IOS players for the update but nada (zilch, zero) for Android players.

Everyone here except for Ur-quan are just regular players. However, some have been playing well over 5 years and have taken advantage of privileges from the prior years, such as getting buildings that generated greenies for a period of time (casino, bank, mint buildings). These things (as well as spending hundreds if not thousands over the years) allow them to develop these metropoli. There is no secret scheme between them and GI, and their knowledge and experience shows in terms of how they handle problems and situations. The true vets keep a cool head when they see things such as bugs or late releases because they've "been there done that". They are also aware of the etiquette of the forum, and generally keep a positive vibe while helping newcomers.
Bottom Line: We are all in this together. Different legs of the journey, but the same journey nonetheless

Just now I opened the game and it said there is a download on the google store anyone tried that?
I am scared to update if it messes up with the ads.

I think there is no problem for the Android update. You get 3 greenies once updated. Got the second update an hour ago and seems running smoothly.

No problem. I remember I used to get upset about certain things too....for me, the dismal drop rates and the 100 item limit were my biggest gripes. However, as you will come to learn, this forum has some very intelligent players from all walks of life who you would probably walk right by them in real life and never exchange a greeting....yet this one game has brought so many people together. Having a difficulty? I guarantee you will find one person in the forum who has a way to get past it. Lots of tips and tricks here to make the experience a lot better.
