With the weather getting colder it has probed me into making some soup. Enjoyed today celeriac, sweetcorn and chicken and also made a batch of cock-a-leekie soup. I do love home made soups and a crusty home made loaf to dip in it!

I very much enjoy making soup, so much nicer than shop bought, although I must say soups of today are so much better than in the past, when they came in cans, and were not so nice. Also, homemade fresh bread with homemade soup, life can be beautiful.

Somehow I lost this thread, but I have found it again! Oh that sounds good, I stayed away for work last night and the night before so made the most of the menu. First night I had a mixed grill, really lovely small steak and variety of other meats - one of my favorites, last night I went for a tikka masala curry, and that was just as good. Home tonight for normal fayre!

I had noticed you have been unusually quiet in this thread, now I know the reason why. One of my favourite words, in the English language, is 'menu' such a wonderful and pleasing word, covers a broad spectrum of meals in a restaurant setting.

Good to have you back, posting in the thread.

Sounds great - busy morning so we are making a homemade chicken pie for lunch - wholesome comfort food, you can't bet a good pie! - and a good pint of ale to help it go down of course.
