Lunch at home today - a large bowl of spicy garlic shrimp pasta, homemade fresh creamy tomato with basel and garlic saurce, topped with grated Parmesan cheese - far too cold to go out for lunch today.

Friday evening Chinese take away - chicken satay with sweet and sour dipping source, lamb curry, bean shoots, steamed rice, chicken chowmein, mixed green vegetables, prawn crackers - enough food to feed a hungry family.

Saturday evening meal - pan fried pork loin chops with scallions, steamed Cyprus red potatos with butter and thyme, mixed fresh green salad with red wine and dijon vinaigrette dressing. Later for dessert, lemon cheesecake with mixed fruit and ice cream.

Sunday lunch for today - slow roast shoulder of lamb (with fresh rosemary and bulbof garlic), crispy roast saffron potato's, mixed green salad with balsamic vinaigrette dressing, fresh baked bread, gravy and chilled wine. For desert - rhubarb and apple pie with warm cinnamon custard.

We are going Italian today with Mrs Ralphy's signature dish - a fantastic homemade Lasagne, followed by a fruit brule - nice red with the lasagne, and a quiet afternoon after - fab!

Now tonight we have had a lovely roast pork joint, with crackling, accompanying veg, and homemade stewed apple sauce - lovely on a cold Friday.

Lunch at the famous Betty's Tea rooms in Harrogate today - Christmas Rosti (with Chicken, Bacon and Cranberrys), followed by Betty's Christmas cake with Wenslydale Cheese, and a special spiced Christmas Coffee. So indulgent!

Late pub lunch for today - grilled sardines with salt and freshly ground black pepper, mixed green salad with dressing (olive oil and balsamic vinegar), fresh baked bread and a bottle of crisp white wine - it was sunny on the way there and it rained on the way back home.

Stayed over for work yesterday - the hotel did a mushroom stroganoff pie, which sounded great, and really was. Only thing is - I am not a vegetarian myself, just fancied this and it was the vegetarian option. but it was served with a jug of gravy - not any unusual variety, the standard beef gravy! fine for me, but not sure they understand what vegetarian means!

Homemade Balti, Naan and an evening in front of the television sounds good. We did the same with our Thai take-away.
