Hmh, you were quiete unlucky, that are definitly not the nicest towns in Germany. To avoid comments from Duesseldorf, I love the Tote Hosen since 30 years.I did that too. 3 years in Dusseldorf and 3 in Monchengladbach !

We are back to an old Sunday favorite - rump steak with peppercorn sauce, chunky chips, onion rings - oh I am salivating and dribbling at the thought, and a pint of cold boddingtons to wash it all down. Yum, yum!
I don't know any decent German wine either!Belgian beer? Ouch! I'm sorry, but I don't know any beer from Belgium, which is tasty.

I love German beers but I love the Belgian sours like a Flanders or Oud Bruin almost as much. I’d love to take a beer trip to both countries
But what do you drink with it? US not well known for its beers!
Oh, btw, I like definitly the beer from Czech like Staropramen or Pilsener Urquell.
I was beginning to think to myself I was the only one who enjoys drinking German and Belgian beers, pleased you enjoy them as much as I do.

I’m a massive Belgian white beer fan , maybe too much on a Friday nightThe non sour Belgians are very hit and miss for me but I’ve rarely had a bad German beer
