That's because here on Windows we still didn't receive the update while some of your neighbours have. It's often the reverse situation: you can't visit your certain neighbour because they haven't updated the game yet.
I wouldn't be surprised if it's going to take at least a few more hours for an update to arrive.

In the meantime, feel free to enjoy those rare precious eventless moments

This is great news, they are delaying the release to ensure all the bugs are worked out before the release. Oh happy days, a bug free version of Airport City. I sure hope I am not disappointed

Well this does not appear to be getting fixed today, so I decided to change my daily task. Took watching three commercials before I got one that I could complete before the nightly reset.

I still can't watch ads. For 6 months now I haven't been able to get "free" daily gifts. I think a couple of times a few weeks ago I got maybe 6 a day. This really SUCKS for us windows players. They don't seem to give a damn

1 day lost of neighbors and half a day lost on the event so far. I wonder what compensation they will be giving the Windows players... I'm thinking a Friend in Need bonus is the only minimum logical response.

I am also using a "Friend in Need Bonus" and I had held off on doing visits so that they can count for the Riding the Comet Event. And now another day.
