Next Update — 5.9

Ivan, one suggestion that I have is creating the opportunity to purchase more items with silver tokens only. The collection ratio between gold and silver is way out of sync and my guess is that a lot of people would have more silver than they could ever spend. Eg, most things need both but even if I spent all of my gold, I would never run out of silver.

Cheers.

Alliance office with it you can buy many things but every thing with gold and silver.
You can buy buildings.
You can buy the golden planes
You can buy mystery super bonus
@cats are awesome But you can buy all that without buying the alliance office. As long as you are IN an alliance. The AO means you can create your own alliance. That's all. Dont buy it unless you want to be leader!

I'm afraid you confuse Alliance HQ and Alliance Office. The first one is for alliance leaders, the second one is the tokens store for all alliance members.

Didnt mix them up for me, just called them both the same name. But if you are IN an alliance you have access to the office automatically. There's nothing to build to have access. I just said AO instead of alliance head quarters.

Well, you do mix them up.
Alliance HQ gives you the right to found an alliance.
Alliance office, doesn't matter whether you have or you don't have an HQ, gives you access to some purchases for tokens - once you build it and you tap on it you will see which ones and for how many tokens.
So you might be an alliance leader but without AO you will not have access to those purchases, resp. you could be a regular alliance member (you need to be in an alliance however) and building AO you will have the option to purchase some stuff, incl. Reserve Hangar 2, S2 planes and Mystery Super Bonus.

Ok. So you can be in an alliance without building AO? Stand corrected, Just double checked. Forgot what I did. Sorry

Hi Ivan, me again... a suggestion for silver tokens might be the ability to purchase a 7 day voucher allowing you to send extra gifts? I know there’s been grumbling for some time now about not being able to send enough. That would be a good start without being a permanent change.

Another thought on gifts (and I suspect many will not be happy with this idea ) is to increase the number as you level up ie, start with 20 and from level 25, say, add an extra 2 gifting slots every 5 levels until level 50 (in reality, gifting power is more important early on) so at level 50, you have 30 gifting slots. Then to balance the numbers, every 5 levels you take one away. By Lvl 75 the number is back to the original 20 but the silver token idea could be used to compensate. Reality is that only higher level players are going to be able to justify tokens on a gift voucher so just as GI has helped lower level players earlier on, as players advance, they can begin to pay for themselves. *(”incoming!!!”:bag::woot:)

Now for a couple of gripes...

1) When you have more than one of an aircraft type, when you select a hangar to launch that aircraft, the game decides itself which hangar to take the aircraft from - not always the one you selected!! Extremely frustrating. Sometimes it’s a specific hangar I want emptied!?! The same occurs if I want to return an aircraft from a specific hangar... if you tap the hangar, it simply opens up the full list of flights but doesn’t go to the specific aircraft. (If there is a way of knowing that, I haven’t worked it out (n)). There needs to be greater control so that each aircraft is tied to a specific hangar, that the link between the aircraft and hangar are easily recognised by the player and that the aircraft can be designated by its hangar.

2) if I decide to send out a flight but don’t have enough resources (99% of the time it is an oversight) , the game suggests using stored warehouse resources or purchasing the shortfall with greenies. Great! However, if I decide not to use stored resources (or the more likely scenario that I don’t have any stored items) and I need to use greenies then I will almost ALWAYS decide to abort the flight and reassess the situation. If I choose to abort at that stage, I don’t want to go back into the flight menu, I want to be back on the main screen. I’m fairly confident that it would be extremely rare that someone would think, “I can’t send that one, ok, I’ll send that one...”.

Cheers and thanks as always,

Rob.

Rob, I really like the idea of having the ability to purchase extra daily gifts via silver tokens!

Here's how I visualize the concept ...

A new bonus called whatever (donor bag, tipping bag, etc.) that a player can purchase for Silver tokens in the Alliance Office that gives the user the ability to give X extra daily gifts for Y days.

I see where you're going with the idea of changing the number of daily gifts based on level, I'm just not there yet on how it would benefit both the player and GI.

Player benefit: Newer players can use all the help they can get. As you progress, you learn other ways to achieve things and can afford to mix and match priorities. At the much higher end, you can decide for yourself if you’re prepared to pay for the opportunity to help others. It’s an interesting decision... your decision to pay, in this case, actually has a slightly higher benefit to others rather than just you. :joyful:

GI benefits: newer players advance quicker, holding their interest. The stats on which level most people drop out would be interesting. I’m guessing around 30 ish? GI knows we want more gifts. Allowing us that keeps us happy, especially after the PR nightmare of late. However, they really can’t afford to (don’t want to) just ramp up freebies by 50% across the entire game population in a single move. That would have way too great an impact on the way the game is designed. There would be a massive impact on the algorithms used in the game design and game play intentions, many that wouldn’t even be thought of for months or years down the track that would require a “bug” fix. (Can you still picture the meeting in the back rooms of GI with some bean counter manager screaming, “F@#k me, who designed the planetarium ratios?!? OMG, this error is a nightmare and has not only cost us a fortune, but it’s completely off scope on the direction we wanted the game to go in! :greedy::banghead::facepalm::cigar:“. They WON’T ever want to have to do that again. “Fix it, don’t f#@k it is a lot harder than it sounds.
So, give to the needy, take from the top who can afford it (the socialist in me coming out again). Good PR, players stay longer, and the out of whack silver token issue is partly addressed. :)
* I knew I should have gone into marketing years ago :sorry:.

hmmm...what are we getting?
  • Exchange silver for gold at say a 20 to 1 ratio?
  • Sell extra building directly from the warehouse?
  • A search feature for a building when looking at your neighbor list?
  • Back out of a launch when you goof for you selected the wrong pad? (I've done that several times)
  • Gift greenies to a neighbor?
  • rotate a runway?
  • A new launch pad that docks with a space station?
  • A zoo?
  • level 81?
  • A number next to the neighbor so we know how long the neighbor has been asleep?
  • Gift a building?
  • buff the drop rates on planetariums back to where it was?
  • AAA to shoot down a plane?
  • a snowstorm that slow down the landing of planes and the need for deicer to launch guest planes?
  • chat in game so you can send messages to your neighbors?
  • personalize your avatar without the need for faceplant (facebook)?
  • let players answer easy questions for greenies?
