Thanks. I don't have the update yet, but was hoping they might might also be found in gift boxes, to give me a bit of a start.

The Mystery Bonus boxes that you can buy from the Duke every week gives a few new Weather-related bonuses.
- Old Barometer - randomly exchange weather condition between flight
- Shaman Drum - removes unfavorable weather from all flights
- Wind Charm - increase chance of a fortunate event in flight (active for 4 hours)

if you are desperate, try opning the Mystery Bonus.

My guess is that they'll probably come up with a "weather box" of some sort. It would be the perfect opportunity for them to make money, and we all know how much they love that

Letadelko Kane - my favorite book! :-D Btw. Nano coating can be very useful for me, right now volcanos blocking one of my weekly alliance missions flight and also event flight. I can send Spiked Tire (for Icy runways).

Once your weather station gets leveled up, good things will happen more often.

I haven't seen major weather issues but I have had a few. A couple people have floated the idea of an 18 person ring where every day you get 3 of each item. Even a mini ring like that would work pretty well if you have a support game that can be set aside for it
