As far as i know both of the games are working

If this game was shutting down, Ivan would have let us know plus it would have been posted on Facebook as well. Also G! would not have gone through the hassle of maintaining the servers then give us super gifts if indeed they were shutting this game down (the super gifts part is a little suspicious, kinda points towards shutting down considering how stingy G! is).

You are probably right. The wording is just really weird. Guess all we can do is enjoy it while we can - bugs and all - and hope for the best.
