Sounds like a lot of work! Lol. I just want to make up a spreadsheet where I can see who wants what, and when I sent the gift. Think I'll have a tinker with excel when I get home from work later.
Btw Chloe11111, I sent you a neighbours requests the other day from Ianda10 and Ianda11 but you're still in my waiting list. :(

I use Word, but might also tinker with Excel. The most amount of work, for me, is searching the people I'm going to give gifts to to ensure that I'm giving what they currently need. Maybe moving to Excel, I can track person's level, list and date of list updated and just more frequently check lower leveled folks. And update when new missions happen.

Items i need pruning shears and the items in my signature ...

Ianda11 and Uncle Mans .. I am an Excel guy. I have been using excel to keep track of neighbors, who i sent to and who i missed per my daily limit, and also, of the cycle of items per neighbors' signatures. It takes a bit of time setting the spreadsheet and once done the gifting process should be smooth sailing. I agree; fisihing for signatures is definitely time consuming.
Happy flyin & space walkin....

Rsorour how have you laid out your spreadsheet? I only have very basic Excel knowledge and I'm not sure of the best way to set it up so I have all the info I need to hand. I started one with names/requirements in the left column and then dates in the next columns so I can mark when I've sent a gift but it's far from ideal.

Thank you everyone. I come home from work, open up my airport and there are a whole load of really useful gifts waiting for me. I have updated my signature as a result. I think I would have long ago give up on my airport without this forum. The ability to gift does bring a new level to the game. I don't mind spending the odd few pounds on the game here and there for the enjoyment I get, but I can't afford to spend endlessly on it, so save my pennies for when I really really need land. What a wonderful bunch you all are.

I have lots of new neighbours and try to return as often as I can, but it seems to be alternate days now for some as I really need to be able to gift about 35 people a day now!

Ok, to ight I have some spare time on my hands for a change. So I have been playing a slow game on airport. Did any of my neighbours receive more than one gift from me? I managed to send Ducks1 3 sets of shears.
This is probably not a new trick and painfully slow, but I visit a neighbour and click on the 3 butterflies available. If I receive some I go back to my airport and then re enter to get the other 2. If I don't get any nets however, I do not go back to my airport, I send a gift then I hard quit the game (click out then do a hard close). When I open the game up it forgets I visited and allows me to go again and click again and send another gift. So eg onehyy I sent you 3 gifts doing this tonight until I had for some butterfly nets.
It takes an age, but seems to work.
I hope that makes sense to someone.

Hello all. I am closing in on enough money to buy the last (level 6) control tower upgrade. I just looked at required items and I have everything except the dispatcher console. The building requires 4 of these, but I only have 1. If anybody has these please send them to me. I am a daily gifter and will gladly send anything I can in return. Thanks in advance.

Ianda11 ..... My setup is pretty basic..no need for advanced excel skills. I usually spend 15-20 mins to look up signatures (afterall, i need 20 of them for my daily gifting limit as i have one account) prior to entering the data on any given day. What i did was i listed all my neighbors in the first column then i inserted comments as tags for each cell containing a neighbor's name with their item needs, those that i can only gift. These comments are concealed so not to clutter the worksheet; once you point the mouse on them they pop up like dialogue balloons. The header of subsequent columns took the day (e.g March 1). This way, if you drag the cell across, excell will automatically fill in subsequent days. I enter for each the cell the actual item that i will send to a neighbor on a particular day.. To make it easier navigating the spreadsheet, i freeze the first column with names and requirmenet comments so it can follow you as you scroll accross to later days and will always be in view. It is actually a very similar setup to what you are working with. Regardless of how organized the gifting process is with the help of tools like excel, time has to be spent on the forum to check for signature updates, urgent needs, and other requests. Nobody said being Santa for the day was that easy  ..... This little set up here has worked for me since i joined the forum. I'm not sure how much time the process saves and but keeps gifting organized for the time being.
Cheers!

Sounds complicated but it is effective and hits the button - you have always gifted appropriately.

greensmith Tom must have been a quick launch. I went on at 5pm est and you did not show. So I tried to join tdvcrapple2 and it bounced me and started me alone. I don't understand why I could not join as TDVCrApple had just started his launch. Ever happen to you? Bill
