New popup:
Yes. It has to be after reset. Can you imagine all the fuel and passengers to finish alliance tasks and counts for nothing. That would be a serious error. Very ambitious message.Hope it doesn' affect alliance tasks this week we're nearly at 50%!
I recall another game that would go down for maintenance and actually give us a date and time. It was kind of funny when the time started as people were trying to get in their last challenges/events as the clock was counting down.I love how ambiguous they are in their messaging. I could just imagine one of my customer's reactions if I said they couldn't the full features of my service for a few days, but not tell them the anticipated maintenance start date/time and end date/time. I'm happy they at least told us what functions won't be working. Certainly hope this work begins around the time the week resets.
How do you recommend backing up your games?OH AND REMEMBER!!!!!!
Now is a good time to perhaps do backup(s) of your game(s) if you can.
Ivan mentioned that things will be down for "a day or two", so you're probably right.i think they are saying in the next few days they will start this, i dont think think it will take a few days to implement the changes
I will provide the link to where you can find the save files. How do you recommend backing up your games?
just thought I'd share how I "backup" or keep a record of my game.
I record a video of my screen, then I slowly go through my warehouse, fuels, bonuses, chests, maps, aircrafts, other items, collections chest, around my city, etc. so just incase something goes missing I can just playback the video and take a screenshot. that way I don't have to save thousands of screenshots.
I use GForce or XBOX gamebar to record.
hope this helps
Thanks, but I use android for all my gamesI will provide the link to where you can find the save files.
Make a back up of everything in the folder (LocalState) and when you get a new PC do a full reinstall of Airport City
from the Windows Store.
Before starting the game copy and paste everything in backup you made back into the same
folder (Local State) and overwrite all the files and folders in the new game.
When you start the new game you should see the same place you left off on the old PC.
The link is below where the AC saves you game
C:\Users\Your Name\AppData\Local\Packages\0EB8BD08.AirportCity_erk4rrwmt7jyt\LocalState
1) Open file explorer, click on the view tab and just to the right of the header ensure the box, Hidden files or items is checked.
2) You can manually save the game each day if you feel comfortable with that, by going to: This PC. Click on C/users/username/AppData/Local/Packages/xxxxxxAirportCityxxxxx/LocalState
3) In this folder there is a SaveProfile.bin file. Copy and paste it, preferably on another drive, SDCard, Thumb drive, but not on the same drive you are using for OS. Note that again unless the hidden items box is not checked under the view tab, a user cannot see the AppData folder. (I also do this with playerpref.dat)
4) If you save a shortcut on your desktop, it is eveen easier.
RECOVERY INSTRUCTIONS
1) If your game should happen to crash and revert back to level 1, all you need to do is get the game to level 5 first, close the game and the LocalState folder is created along with the first SaveProfile.bin file.
2) Go to where you saved your own bin file earlier, copy it and paste it into the LocalState folder, replacing the one already there.
3) Open the game once again and you should be right where you left off.
Thanks for the players who post this instructions before me but couldn't find the thread or the post so i have it in my PC and I posted here.
Hope this helpThanks, but I use android for all my games
