With eight beautiful tracks Blowin' the Blues Away (release in November 1959) is one of Horace Silver's finest Blue Note studio albums - 45 minutes of pure listening pleasure. I purchased the album in the early 1980's and have never stopped listening to it.

Dark Slope Streaks Split on Mars

What is creating these dark streaks on Mars? No one is sure. Candidates include dust avalanches, evaporating dry ice sleds, and liquid water flows. What is clear is that the streaks occur through light surface dust and expose a deeper dark layer. Another great artwork album cover - six beautiful tracks Relaxin' With The Miles Davis Quintet (recorded in 1956) has a great all-star line-up, Miles Davis (trumpet), John Coltrane (tenor saxaphone), Red Garland (piano), Paul Chambers (bass) and Philly Joe Jones (drums) - the album artwork and the music match perfectly.
