Windows Commercials?

Did anyone else get "cheated" on their commercials today (Thursday)? We only got 1 commercial on each of our games, and then it didn't give any more.
The one time I actually needed them too. Ha, go figure. GI must have planted a mind reading program in the last update.

I think I noticed that the reset on the ads was several hours earlier than the reset on the daily tasks.

I didn't notice it on any other category than repair items, but indeed I have the same experience: I needed to repair two planes, but could only watch one video for repair items. Luckily, I still had an unopened repair set which contained the required item, but I hope this is just a glitch and not some sort of new policy....

Same here (edited: Windows). Use the video's with a building to collect coins, but could do that only once for a building. Could do it with another building
Speeding up planes with more than one video was no problem

Well, yesterday, I could only watch 1 video on my support game (Windows) to get building item.

A few days ago, I could definitely watch more than 1 videos for building items.

Maybe something indeed changed.

Yesterday I could only watch 1 video for an item (Android), and I didn’t have F20 available via video, but they seemed to work on everything else (iOS). Today F20 is available again - how many, I don’t yet know.

Just checked with my iOS game, now I can only watch 1 ad for building item (for different buildings, also only 1 ad in total).

Need to see if I can watch more ad tomorrow to get another building item or not.

It looks like now only 1 ad available for the same thing (building item, F20, flight item). But you can still speed up flights with ads more than 1 time.

Update: after around (more or less) 25 mins, I'm able to watch another ad for building item.

I’ve watched more than 1 for Fuel today. I suspect the change is more of a glitch than anything.

Since the new update, they put a timer on the adds after watching it. So I guess this was already implemented before the update, but is visible since.

So, if I understand the new policy correctly, you'll have to wait X minutes before watching another add of the same category. Sucks.

For flight catering I have 3hours ! ! Just before, I tried with Astronaut Academy, maybe it is linked !
And 5 minutes for 20 pax !

I'm talking about constructrion of the building, not the production of the flight catering items themselves. Are we talking about the same thing? (it's for one of my supports)

Oh, thank you for posting this. I thought it was just me. Lack of videos or reduced videos has been happening to me on and off for several days. I thought I just had to be wearing the correct lucky socks or something to get videos again

A timer added on sounds purposeful. My wife thinks that G! may be trying to change the commercial program, but that they ran into a "glitch" (or created one). With everything else that has been being changed, a change to the commercial policy wouldn't surprise me.

It’s called “balancing“ the game. Nobody was robbed. The use of videos has been out of whack for some time. It was only 5 for a long time, which expanded to 10 or 12 in recent times and became available for a lot more tasks. I tend to agree that only one per task is tough but the changes began in the last update where flight items (at least in the top tiered flights) weren’t available at all any more. You might feel robbed, but it stops the high end players from picking up, say a dozen, extra VR headsets each day which essentially allows them to fly an extra 9000 passengers.

The premise of the game is to fly airplanes. Excessive use of videos basically wiped that out for many tasks. Terminal 12, for instance, needs 80 items for construction! In the past, players would combine flying and gifts to achieve this - like many players that were well organised, I managed to do it without flights, simply because I was playing ahead and the flight weren’t even available to me. For a terminal 12, I collected all 80 items through videos - hardly the objective in GI’s game design.

Change is a regular feature of this game. One of the greatest features that keep us playing is the diversity of tasks and game play. Since many of those things crossover, when one thing is changed, it affects lots of others- the Duke feature recently that allowed the purchase of unlimited chests for 8k, changed many features to the point of ridiculous and made things far to easy to exploit. It didn’t last long.

There a loads of tweaks needed and it’s a constantly evolving game. Finding the right balance and predicting the side effects of changes would be difficult. The sooner you give up the mindset that “you’ve been cheated/robbed” and get on with modifying your play to suit the tweaks, the more you’ll enjoy playing. plenty of good comes with the bad and it’s not going to change. Get used to it or .... .

Edit: FWIW, I was using the videos to collect an extra 48 flight catering per day. That’s going to force some changes.

So, it looks like you might be able to use more than 10 per day now. I just used 10 on constructing one of my factories, the timer then went to ~ 12.5 hours (reset time), then I was able to use another advert on speeding up coins on another building, just to test it. This also had a 5 minute timer. Not sure if this is expected functionality or not.
