I’m severely struggling with romantic passenger numbers, at this rate it’s going to take years to get the stars as I can’t produce anywhere near enough to send all my flights out. And I refuse to spend greens on the bonuses on principle.

I bit the bullet, said to heck with my mint, and spent my 150 gold tokens on a police station which lets me have radius of 2 on my visa centres. I placed them around the romantic passenger buildings which produce most frequently. Maybe I can actually send out some giants!

I got desperate and even tried moving a sauna and golf course into the are of gazebos and cafes to see if they had any effect. Nope.

Even the buildings you can buy with plush animals barely help, if at all.

Fortunately, I have one or two of each building left over from last year.

Interesting collection drop rates...
5 cupids collected already... and currently have no more than 3 of each item - even drop rate of all
1 Plushies completed - after only 6 soft toys collected. very even drop rate.
No Bouquets - have 6 - 3 - 0 - 2 - 3 flowers.

Same problem. I was hoping to pick up a couple of giant stars, but it takes a whole day to get enough romantic passengers to send out 4 giants. Maybe I'll try to rearrange things and set up my visas to collect from the buildings that give passengers more often. I seem to remember in the past the problem was having too many romantic passengers so that we couldn't collect drop items.

During every romantic event the biggest issue was (is) to collect enough romantic passengers. The event you recall with too many passengers is the Curse of the Valley of the Kings with the Burial Vaults.
Since last year the romantic buildings do not benefit from any pax bonus buildings so the only option is to build all of them and to collect them frequently. Compared to last year the situation is a bit better because the Merry-go-round drop 6rp / 40 min compared to (if I'm not mistaken) 19rp / 24h. Last year I managed to 3* Giants and Falcons, what meant my Visa Centers worked on 24h contracts and I almost run out of silver tokens.

So recommendation to all players and especially star collectors:
1) build all possible buildings resp. take back from your warehouse.
During this event you can buy 3x6 buildings with coins and 6 with greenies. You can have 6 Merry-go-round from collections, as well as 6 Symbol of Love (well, 6 Romantic Rotunda as well) with Kittens.
You might have another 6x6 romantic pax dropping buildings from last year event (Minimarket, Kiss Cafe, Motel, Outdoor Cinema, Drive-in Theater and Carriage Workshop);
2) watch all available ads on your building with highest romantic pax output (if you have all buildings it should be the Carriage Workshop) and watch them immendiately after the building has already produced paxs - if you watch video just 30 mins before the building drops paxs, well, you would have lost that video...
3) if you have them, rearrange all your Police Stations to collect only romantic paxs (and to cover as many romantic pax buildings as possible) and do some maths to calculate how many contracts you can run with your available silver tokens. Surely you will collect most paxs if you always run a contract, i.e. with the remaining time you could consider activating 5x48h and 1x16h contract, or 10x24h and 1x16h etc.
EDIT: Don't forget, however, when using Police Station(s) to auto-collect, you won't get any Kittens and no Dolce Vita items will drop from the auto-collected building.

I'm collecting probably 75-80% of my romantic passengers now using my 6 visa centres and 1 police station. The 4 hour drops (carriage house) I just try to get every 4 hours when I can, and also take advantage of videos. I'm now able to send out 12 giants per day. Didn't really want to spend the 150 gold on the police station, but it's going to be worth it in the long run. Luckily I've completed Dolce Vita several times over, and I'm not collecting kittens.

Well, that’s really a matter of opinion. The old buildings were way too pink and kitsch to me. I like the new looks better.

Thanks, I had forgotten about last year event buildings and have filled in as much extra space in my city with them!!

I have completed over 100 romantic flights, using golden dice, dice, spyglass, and still only have a grand total of 3 bears. What in the world is the drop rate on these things?

Plush Pleasure collection drop is worst as usual. 😡Needed 2 teddy to complete the event from day 1 still waiting 😩. Used GD but no luck.

I needed 3 tigers. Cant tell you how much fuel I burned (way to much) but finally got the drops. Was using dice, GD, SC and SG when those furry little guys finally dropped
