7.11 bonuses change announcement

Hello Pilots! We're working on changing bonus mechanics.

The main change - Starting from version 7.11 Bonuses will work for every plane and every item type.
We hope that this will help to clear misunderstandings and enhance the overall gaming experience. No more thinking on will it help me with collection items, or will it help me with quest items. It will work on everything.


Changes in bonuses;

• Dice - This bonus increases the chance of an item drop from a plane by 50% for 6 hours. Base price - 2 airport cash
• Golden Dice - This bonus increases the chance of an item drop from a plane by 100% for 6 hours. Base price - 4 airport cash
• Spy Glass - This bonus increases the chance of an item drop from a plane by 150% for 6 hours. Base price - 9 airport cash
• Junior Pilot - This bonus increases the chance of an item drop from a plane by 50%, experience from flights increased by 50% and coins gain by 200% for 12 hours. Base price - 35 airport cash
• Sky Captain - This bonus increases the chance of an item drop from a plane by 100%, experience from flights increased by 100% and coins gain by 400% for 24 hours. Base price - 99 airport cash
  
  
• "Bowl of Riches" bonus will be removed from the sale ( owned Bowls will remain in your warehouses)
  
  Lucky clover, Shaman Drum, Old Barometer, Wind Charm and Robot Loader will be removed from Mystery Bonus chest. It will be consisting of Sky Captain, Vintage Weathervane, Inconvertible Coin, Lucky Cap, Family Ticket, Chinese Lantern, Alarm Clock, Golden Toad, and Golden Wrench.

Will combining Sky Captain and Spyglass give you more drops, the same or will they cancel each other?

God forbid that those with 1000s of stockpiled bonuses won’t be able to do alliance maps with a 300% permanently increased dropped rates making their gathering of Mystery Super Bonuses even easier and widening the gap even further. The best you get at the moment is 150% - of course those at the top should expect the better part of the deal . And why would GI write to you?

Because they should tell us everything about the changes.
If we can use singly D, GD, SG it means the best way is using only SG and buying them for 9 greenies.
The best for G! not for us.

To me, it seems for the most part only that a few fliers seem to be overly critical. I tried to show one of them the error in their way, and they said it was alright because others were acting the same. Some people incorrectly believe that words typed are not as powerful as words spoken in person. This negative attitude can be contagious and I am glad that someone is pointing it out, and hope that everyone can behave in a more appropriate manor.

I’m happy and willing to help out or answer questions as best I can, but you’d hope that any new member that has gone to the effort of googling and found this forum, would also take a minute to read the introductory message. Possibly even another few minutes to look around and possibly even do a search before simply rushing to post a question in the first thread they find.

My response to @BrianIsFlyin was because it wasn’t a request being made, it was a demand (like quite a few people do) to GI to enhance the game to suit a reasonably small percentage of players. Sure, I would love to see more levels created and I too get annoyed by the warehouse full of bonuses I can’t use but that’s just bad luck. There’s only so much they can do in a given amount of time and as a commercial business, keeping the game interesting for the majority of players, especially newer players (most on this forum might be at level 80, but the vast majority of the 99% not here would not be) who are more likely to spend money. If being called out for demanding changes that suit his game leads him to assume his opinions aren’t valued and throws a public dummy spit requesting to be removed (when you could simply leave - which I seriously hope he doesn’t) I’m going to assume it’s not just my comment which led to the response or I’d suggest it was an over reaction.

As for the response to @DarekK , his game is possibly the most advanced (or top 0.1%) going. Again, demands from GI regarding things that he wants. He enjoys dominating everyone else (actively recruiting players with 1000+ stars to form a mega alliance is just one example) and his requests have nothing to do with bettering the game, it’s all about the small 1 percenters that allow him to dominate even further. Further to that, he demands that GI advise us of any changes that they are making to their game. Seriously? This is not their official website and they post on here as a nicety. Regardless of that, they aren’t obliged to divulge anything prior to release!

Negating the statements of other players you just give the impression of being the smartest in the world. Maybe you are.

In the matter of G! you're right.
G! does not have to and will not listen to any requests or demands.
They can write whatever they want, they can lie and we won't do anything to them.
If anyone doesn't like changes in rules of the game he can only stop playing. I'm personally trying to adapt.

You raised the topic of the alliance for player's 1K+ which I am trying to create?. What wrong is in thinking about 0,001 % of players who can be in this alliance if they want? For your information, GoldenEye will reach lvl. 10 on 17 February and then recruiting will be open. I invite you too.

Regarding activation multiple bonuses at once:

The bonus activation order will not be changed. It will work as it used to be. The same effects will stack with each other.

However, this is just the first step on the way of rebalancing bonus mechanics. We have a lot of changes planned for this year.

There are still plenty of people willing to help, but you have to admit that some players have some unusually high expectations. We all love the game, but we must also come to the understanding that GI is a business, and they want the game to be fun as well as challenging. I would never oppose the sharing of ones opinion, but we also need to face the truth at times.

I noted it too, but I think that means we should take advantage while we can. I also trust Ivan's parting words that we will love the changes coming this year. That guy has been around us for years, and he knew the things we would and wouldnt like as the dedicated 1%. Either way, the game will still be great, and I expect both you and myself will continue being a part of that 1%, God's willing.

I am wondering if we will see the Sniffer Dog bonus replacing Robot Loader? It would dramatically increase drops from Guest planes, but would deactivate once it finds a doggy biscuit.

You laugh, but it brings up an interesting point. Robot loader got useless after 7.0, because all planes load up at the same speed now....and still required to taxi

Lot of arguments on here, I'm betting @DarekK has spent far more than most on here, I used to spend a lot too but then the changes to cripple top players stopped that. It was fun when a few of us were out front but the incentive isn't there anymore, still anyone can get to the top if they employ the right strategy. Alliances and too many events stop people doing it.
