That was my initial impression also but there are events that need heli flights and you will miss them if you do not have one. Further, there are item drops that you need to build buildings that multiply yields (in %) nearby commercial and residential structures - this is what I am aiming for...

They gave us the compensation and now another issue cropped up - damaged game. Sent advice to support and no reply yet. This is problematic.

Too expensive. I am using my gold and silver tokens instead. I got a handful from previous events and rocket launches.

Android platform is my bet if you want to continue and enjoy AC. Windows platform is just plain horrible. Tough to compete in the events using a windows platform.

I have not been using bonus items like golden dice or spy glass. Do these increase the chance of event item drops in event flights (i.e. Mt Fuji etc)? From wiki, seems like it is only bowl of riches that gives a higher chance for event item drops.
