I know many are disappointed by the update, but my view and hope is that they needed to amend the base of the game and can/will build on that in the future. We will have to wait and see.

Just my speculation. They found out it is a bug and had no time to fix it, so they chose to release v8 and fix this later with next update.

It was reported that we will be able to store or sell with upcoming updates.
