Both great movies i watch them a lot.
Another film that really stands up to repeated viewing, across many years, is the film Gladiator (2000), winner of multiple film awards.
This award-winning science fiction film Gravity (2013) was nominated for multiple Academy Awards and won seven including Best Cinematography, Best Director and Best Original Score. Also Golden Globe for Best Director and BAFTA for Best Director and Outstanding British Film. I would very much recommend the film, it has stood up to repeated viewings during these past four years.
this movie was brilliant on the big screen cinema i felt like i didnt breath the entire movie
Yes, I know what you mean, one of the marks of a great film. Regards Captain WH Rollins
An amazing iconic soundtrack as well. Thomas Newman's score lifts this film to a whole different level, albeit it already is a Stephen King adaptation.
Yes, you are quite right - bespoked tailoring indeed. Regards Captain WH Rollins
Goosebumps every time the main theme sets in when the camera shows the gates of Shawshank for the first time in the film. Every. Single. Time...
This award winning film is extremely powerful - 12 Years A Slave (2013) - winner of Academy Awards, Golden Globe and BAFTA's - I would very much recommend this film, it has stood up to many repeated viewings, during these past four years.
For those of you who enjoy going to the cinema, three films to watch out for, during the first week in the month of December: Happy End (15) - Surburbicon (15) - Beach Rats (15) Regards Captain WH Rollins
Another multiple award winning film that has stood up to repeated viewing - The Theory Of Everything (2015) - I would very much recommend this film.
thanks, i shall look at trailers now and maybe watch out
A really unusual and quirky cult science fiction TV series - Farscape (DVD Box Set) - is for me one of the greatest TV shows of all time, in the top 25 - the repeated viewings of all four seasons and the mini series has not changed my option. I would very much recommend it, a standout TV series.
Across the many decades there have been many film versions of Robin Hood (also TV and cartoons), this for me is the definitive swashbuckling version - The Adventures Of Robin Hood (1938) - in glorious technicolour - one of my favourite films of all time - in my top 100 greatest films.
For those of you who enjoy going to the cinema, four films worth watching out for, during the last few weeks of December 2017, they represent a broad spectrum of subject matter, which I have selected, as being the best of what is currently available to watch: Star Wars: The Last Jedi 3D (12A) The next chapter in the Star Wars saga. Murder on the Orient Express (12A) Agatha Christie's ever-popular whodunnit is back on the big screen with a star-studded adaptation of the murder mystery classic. Happy End (15) A blistering satire on family values and self-interest of the haute-bourgeoisie. Stronger (15) A profound exploration of life after trauma tells the true story of Jeff Bauman, an ordinary man caught up in the Boston Marathon bombing, who became a symbol of hope to many.
@ItsRalphy - just in case you are interested, the film Dunkirk - Limited 2 Disc Edition DVD (2017) - is now out on sale for £9.99 - one for my collection, next time I place an order.
i need to re watch this when i am not so tired, i think it went back and forth
Yes, you are quite right - the epic film unfolds on land, at sea and in the air. There is far too much to take in and process during the first viewing. It will need repeated viewings to take it all in. Regards Captain WH Rollins
Arh - saw that when it first came out, very good and better than I thought, very thought provoking. Murder on the Orient Express is an excellent film, very well done new version of a classic - well worth watching. Going to see star wars next week now my daughter back from uni. Good suggestions!
