These two stand out films are both wonderful examples and have stood up to repeated viewing, across many years. They can both be purchased for less than £10.00 and I would very much recommend them.

Those of you who enjoy the film noire genre these two films are fine examples Double Indemnity (1944) and Sunset Boulevard (1950) - they are both listed in the American Film Institute's list of 100 best films of the 20th century - I would recommend them very much.

Continuing with the film noire genre these classic black and white films The Big Sleep (1946) and The Maltese Falcon (1941) are two more fine examples - I would recommend them very much.

This film, made in 1994, has not only stood up to the passage of time but has become one of the best prison drama films of all time, a favourite among film buffs. I would very much recommend the film.
