Airport City 7.0 Beta is Out, What's Next

If I sell one my redundant buildings (which I have plenty of), I get a measly amount in coins and have to wait the full re-building time when I replace the sold building with one of my warehouse-buildings. Why should any other situation be rewarded greenies? Let alone 100 each?
I guess Sebastian said that because those buildings were obtained by spending real cash, not earned in some way... but as Ivan also said, the change occurred almost 5 years ago. that gave some time for getting the full return on their investment i guess... but i'll miss those 10 planetariums to visit with an active friend in need :cry:

Because of the update and “changing” rules for now everyone.

Especially planetariums were bought with greens (MSBs), or even rocket gardens were collected with hundreds of space flights, mostly using greens.

Its an idea... greens are more useful than coins...

"supposedly" obtained by spending real cash. "Back in the days" those buildings could be earned, or bought with earned coins/cash/gold/whatever, same as now. I could have plenty of buildings in my inventory that where bought: MSB-boxes still give you buildings that you don't need even if you bought them with cash.

Anything in this game can be bought with real cash. Why should one part be 'compensated' for while none of the other things are not?

Right :) But as I've read elsewhere: People complaining about the 100-limit insisted on level-playing field by removing the 6+ buildings from people's sites. Now they are doing that and... Well ;)

Sure, any negative change will be met with some critism, but I never joined this forum for the whole lot of negativity. It just seems like this place is a large bowl of acid nowadays, with all the negative comments these days. Not fun for those who just come here to talk about the game in a positive manner.

I was going to say it's been unusually quiet lately, but then I saw this post in the other thread and calmed down. Everything's fine, as usual.
Thanks for everyone's support and kind words!

And here are some more reasons to love us or hate us, depending on your perspective:
  • Shorter flight times for Training Flight, Small Village, Egypt, and Cyprus - already in the Beta
  • Updated parameters for Cottage, Side Wing, Townhouse, Mansion, House with a Pool, Eatery, Grocery Store, Flower Shop (generally they've got better and/or faster returns) - already in the Beta
  • Five new music tracks in an addition to the classic Airport City theme that run about 16 minutes total - coming soon
  • Background sounds when you zoom in on certain key buildings like Town Hall, Terminal, Control Tower, as well as general 'city sound' in the city area - coming soon
  • Last, but not least, important changes to the max. amount of buildings of the same type on the map: upon updating to 7.0 version any buildings above the general limit (that is currently 6 for all building types) will be moved to inventory. This rule, along with a limit of 100 per item type in the warehouse, will enforce the idea of the same rules for everyone going forward (and I kindly remind you here that CBMs were limited time offers like special events or any other offers)

What about items in stock? Do they all equate 100 items?
 
I'm just as unhappy about some of the changes being made to our game, but PLEASE folks, let's keep the negativity to a minimum. This forum is for comraderie, questions, helping each other and just plain having fun and making friends. It doesn't do any good to blast Ivan & Ur-quan - I'm sure they would love to keep us all happy, but they have their higher-ups to answer to. Also, remember, they don't have to be here to keep us updated on what's happening. I for one would rather hear the bad news early, so I can at least try to do some planning.

If you don't like the game with it's changes, then leave - it's as simple as that. But give it a chance, and preferably, without being so negative. You might find you like it. :)

A lot of recent posts are off-topic. Can we not start a new thread called AC7 Moans and Groans and move all relevant posts there ?

That way I and others don't have to scroll through this thread looking for items that are on topic and of interest

I have a friend who is very good in sarcasm, never accepts mistakes and is very good in justifying what ever he feels right. Any openings in GI? Should i post it in the Moans and Groans group?

Almost forgot.... He is greedy too.

6 buildings per building type rule was introduced in February, 2015. That's 4,5 years ago — 4,5 years to reap the benefits of having more buildings than anyone else who has joined since then. Seems long enough.

Also, there's a number of players who came from a browser version of Airport City with a profile transfer recently and according to that version's rules there were no limits for certain buildings at all, hence legitimely having tens of Rocket Gardens, for example. Those players did nothing wrong but are reported as cheaters by everyone else on a daily basis. Will our updated rules upset them? Certainly. Will it bring peace of mind for most other players who know they'll be playing on equal terms now? Absolutely.

I didn't say it was an easy decision.
As you’re cleaning up my city side with difficult decisions, I’ll give you an easier decision to make: please make the Planetarium, Astronaut Academy and Alien Legacy available for the airport side as well. Then I can do some cleaning up myself...

Free2Play Ivan, sorry for asking you directly, but reading through this thread is impossible to find out the answer given all the complains :) Got a couple of questions - those who still have Casinos/Banks/Mints, will we be able to keep them in our warehouse and activate them should we have sufficient gold/silver tokens? And if say I have 2000 F20 barrels, what will happen to the 1900 ones that are over the limit? In general, any items over the 100 limit, will we lose? Compensated? Allowed to use but not accumulate more?

Sorry, I know the answer's somewhere in here, but with as said that many posts saying completely different things, I've lost track :)

Regarding the F20. Any f20 you have in warehouse will stay there, even over the 100 limit, you just won't be able to collect more until you go below the limit. As gifts will go straight to the fuel bar from 7.0 it does mean you should still be able to get gifts
Thanks for clarifying this. I assume the same will be then for all 100+ items?
