Would you explain about an alliance?

I don't think an alliance is for the casual players ....
My maths might be wrong (so feel free to correct) but if a player.....

Can play for 16 hours a day virtually non-stop.
Has 12 Falcons
He/She can probably fly around 28/30 times in a day.
That gives 10,500 passengers per day.
Which is 73,500 passengers a week
Which is 294,000 passengers a week for a team of 4.

Last week the top prize (gets 5 alliance maps) took 3,275,702 passengers
To get a single alliance map (20th place) took 452,142 passengers

The 294,000 passengers would barely get you in the top 100 and the prize for that is a mere Gift Box with 5 items.
You would need a lot of extra fuel to even get close to the decent prizes, and greens to keep your Falcons in the air too.

I shall be sticking to getting stars for now.

@Mario's Dad
This is my concern about the Alliance game as well. The Top 100 was rife with cheating at the beginning; it might have changed recently, I don't know. I didn't care much about losing chests with the Top 100. But, as a star chaser, it bothers me a lot that the only way to fly to the new destinations is to earn maps from the Alliance game. We shall see.
Cheers,
Tom

I had 4 drops from my Aztec pyramid and Colosseum since the update.
Three drops to "How to Win Friends and Influence People" collection and
One drop to "I´ll Think About That Tomorrow" collection
I decide to increase my adventure flights (after Back to School quest) instead spend all my fuel to stay in top 10 Alliance Destination. Maybe in the future all sharks from AC will fight in Mars and us mortals can flight to Alliance destinations.

@pilot
I don't believe that cheating is necessary. It might seem that way when you are down in 279th place with 30,420 passengers (Where the alliance I am in currently sits) and you see Sky Team in first position with 1,250,582
But they must be using loads of extra fuel, passengers, bonuses and greenies to get that high in the table.

From this forum both @DarekK and @M22 are doing very well in the ratings. There may be others too from this forum?
Perhaps they might be willing to indicate what it costs to achieve their results (If they have time in between flights of course :))

I did burn a lot of fuel but that runs out and it's an effort the amount of flights needed. Not sure I can keep it up, it makes the game a bit annoying tbh. Basically I was using the golden key to avoid breakdowns, family ticket and matryoshka doll combined with alarm clocks to refill passengers, can fly a couple hundred thousand passengers fair quickly using giants like this but you need fuel.
