Not sure why everyone keeps saying they closed the event. I closed it out quite a while ago
yet get visitors to my uni's everyday, so I assume they are still producing items. Amusing little
story about closing this event. Since I still had the uni's from last year I didn't need to build any.
Not paying any attention to the fact visiting destinations and finishing a collection rewarded the uni.
So kept going right passed the event destinations, thinking why are those destinations in my flight list.
Once I closed the event it dawned on me that the now missing destinations were from the event.
So......yeah.....I didn't fly to any of those destinations this time.

LOL - that's the only reason I kept it open, I have got 6 stars from flying to event destinations. Wonder whats next, after the last bug upgrade before this, we had back to back events for a couple of months!

Once you close the event, the buildings will give coins only, not the event items.

Telling people you closed it prevents wasted clicks on those buildings for others that are still trying to finish it.

Are you sure about that because it has never been like that in the past. The items rewarded always depended on the person
clicking not the specific airport. Now for me it will only reward coins but unless they have changed this others still with event open should collect with no problems. Would be kind of an odd change but it is GI so perhaps this is the way it is.

As far as I remember, it's been that way I mentioned, but you could be right also.

No doubt, I did try and look using my support as I did nothing in the event on that account.
Though I did not get any items from WP's 4 unis after collecting I clicked on a uni and it
showed this.

@Ten33go just visited your and @Mike47 unis from my support and did get a couple items
from them so it is dependent on whether the person clicking has closed the event.
Good to know for future events, as I do recall it being like this in the past but would
not want to waste visits if it had changed.

That darned last turnstile dropped from a flight - phew! - gifting is so much harder now send and return doesn't work the same! Completed the university event so back flying for maps. Suddenly run out of earplugs if anyone can help!

Did the same - my support game visited my main game which has 6 universities and, even though I completed the event on my main game, collected from each one of the unis !

Halfway my coins for the runway level 6, still a long way to go and it doesn't go very fast but then I can land all guest planes

I've been trying to keep up the last few days but have been ill, and it has taken it's share of my energies.
Even just sitting here on the laptop, I find myself drifting in and out; lacking the energy to keep my eyes open and my lol head above the clouds, as I usually tend to do well.
@Brasil95 @Rainer @crescent moon @david smith and whomever else was in launches where I attended today, thanks for the doubles and even triple QL's; although now with several of the platforms combined together, it seems much more challenging to reach the top 100. And that's just the rockets. I'm glad to be beyond much of those destinations, including airplane flights, with the exception of TBirds.
My focal point now is more on the alliance; working as a team.

I have to agree with you. Rankings on launches & flights are not as obtainable as they were before. My main focus with the launches is gaining fuel to fly planes. Even the gold & silver tokens don't have a lot of meaning since it doesn't look like we're getting a mint/casino/bank offer. Alliance flights are fun, but my S3 planes are sitting in the warehouse, because they seem to break down faster than the others, and I can't afford the greens to quick repair, or to leave them in the repair facility for 12 hours. I do appreciate the super mystery bonuses those flights give. Flying maps for buildings is a challenge, but I have so many buildings now that I can't build, because I won't spend money on greens, and can't afford the land expansion right now.

OK - I'm off my high horse. I'm going to go fly some planes.

Have a dilemma - I have 73 tokens - should I save them for a mint/casino (although haven't a clue how many they need) or use them for a TBird S1 as they have little other use?

Overwhelmed with gratitude, I am, for all the incoming building gifts for both the support and primary accounts. At least ten different givers with possibly twenty gifts.

And my usual warn gratitude for the incoming flight and repair gifts.

Agree, I do, with other sentiments posted here about the futility of climbing rankings. Even alliance flying has the same futility, since I can only manage 10k passengers a week.

Still, flying is still personally productive in terms of collections and building acquisitions.
