Hi Dave, we are finally neigbor!

Thanks for the last Flight Helmet I needed. I cannot send you a Laser Rangerfinder so I sent a Fuel Hose.

The return of gifts is a lot less intuitive with the system more strongly geared towards using the return button rather than selecting a gift which lessens the chance of people getting construction items that they need according to their signatures.

In order to maintain my usual gifting spreadsheet, meeting what people are looking for, what I am trying to do is this;-
1) Look at each received gift and before clicking "Take" I record what I am going to send back in my spreadsheet
2) Click "Take" for that gift but be careful NOT to click Send button. Note that if you cant return a gift at that time to that neighbour the entry vanishes as soon as you click "Take" - this is why it is important to note the return gift before clicking take. Note their is no "X" to delete the entries so move onto (4)
3) For the next gift repeat (1) and (2) until you have recorded them all.
4) When you have recorded all the gifts you are going to return Click on the outgoing Tab (this should empty the received tab of all gifts that you have Taken)
5) Now start sending out your gifts in accord with the list you have kept.

Sending gifts is now much slower too whether you start with the neighbours or with your gifting list. If like me you record gifts in the order they come up in your gifting list then you
1) Click the gift
2) Select all the neighbours wanting that gift
3) Send
4) You are returned to your game and have to click the gifting icon again!
You have to repeat this for each gifting item that you are sending out- however, unlike before the update, each time your list of gifts returns to the beginning - so for each gift you have to scroll across from the start to the gift you need (instead of your position being remembered)

I am sure that many people are taking the easy option of just clicking "send" after "taking" each item (it is easy to do this by mistake because there is sometimes a short delay after clicking Take and you are tempted to click take again - if you do this activates Send as well.

The alternative to this is to just look at what you have been sent from everyone and send your return gifts first - then when you have sent your 20 click on "Take" for the 20 that you have sent to.

I am sure we will all develop our own system but in my view they have rather messed up what was a fairly fluid and intuitive process - certainly I am receiving far fewer of my signature items than I was before the upgrade. The cynic in me suggests that GI are hoping more people will be forced to Buy their construction items.

Hi @gbswales, I completely agree with you.
Some small details that worsen the already said: All gifts accepted disappear when you close the window, which inevitably happens now (steps 1 to 4). And to top it off now the gifts are sorted alphabetically and not by the order they come.

Hi All,

Thanks for all the gifts received. I have sent out all of mine for today.

I am finally sorted after the Upgrade

I have three accounts:

Main Account Harco-Item
Support Account Harc-Support
Fuel Account Harc-No Gift

I have now reached the levels that I needed in both the Support and Fuel Accounts, and will not be actively playing them in future.

The Support account has all 3 Launch Pads, MCC3, and 5 Research Labs. It may be worth a visit.
The Fuel account may also be worth visiting, but only for a laugh

I like to make sure that I use up my gifting allowance everyday. This means that some of my Neighbours will receive more than one gift from me. I only hope for one gift in return,

Please note that all Gifts from Harc - whatever should be returned to my main account Harco-Item.

OK, let's motivate gifting!
For those, who send me gifts I asked, there will be a VIP list. Anyone can enter to my VIP list if he/she sends me gift what I asked.
There will be a new gifters list and a wrong gift list too. My gifting preferation will be 1. VIP, 2 new gifters 3. wrong gifters. It's very easy to change your position between my lists, so be careful. If my 20 gifting slots filled with VIP's - I have to skip the others... Simpler Gifting process

Further to my last post about gifting problems I have definitely found the following to be the quickest and easiest solution;-

1) Do not "Take" ANY gifts until you have 20 gifts received
2) When you have 20 gifts do NOT "take" them yet but go through them making your list of gifts to send until you have listed 20
3) Switch to Outgoing and send the 20 you have listed
4) Switch back to Incoming and Click "Take" on just the 20 gifts you have (they should delete automaticaly as you do)
5) Leave any remaining gifts without clicking "take" until your next gifting session starts

This maximises the opportunity to send appropriate gifts that people need and is quicker and less confusing than taking and returning them one at a time.

Gifting is working fine for me. I always recorded gifts received, so that's not a change. I did not realize (re @gorrion ) they are now there alphabetically. That could result in some flyers waiting longer for a return.
@gbswales , another reason for not getting desired items is that we don't yet remember that we have an item to send with the changes.

I'm having trouble with flights. How do you know which planes are available? I am getting annoyed by choosing a flight, only to learn that the plane is already in flight.

Here are a few tips and suggestions to follow in order to make your gaming and forum experience the best, and most productive it can be. You may be familiar with some of them, but there may be others you are not.

* Introduce yourself in the Windows Weekly Trading thread. We encourage participation between forum members, both game wise and just conversationally. There are many people from all across the globe here, and you can learn a great deal from chatting and participating. Feel free to ask as many questions as you can come up with, I'm sure one of us will be able to help you.

* If you look at everyone who has posted, you'll notice a signature containing their forum name, game name, level, stars, hearts, friend code, time zones, etc. In that signature, they will also place the items they need for their game, and also the items they can gift to neighbors. This way, everyone knows what they all need, and also what everyone can gift. This will make things a lot easier for you, as well as your neighbors.

* Before finding neighbors, look around the forum. There are many other areas shared with other platforms with news, information, tips and other helpful things that can expand your knowledge of the game, and how to best achieve your goals.


If you receive a friend request from a forum member:

* They should have "tagged" you (@ symbol followed by forum username - Like I did with you above), or sent you a private message telling you they sent the request. You will receive 200 coins when they add you.

* If you choose to accept the request, click on the green arrow box that appears with their name on it in your, 'Waiting" tab, which is located in your neighbors icon. Enter that persons friend code into the friend code tab That person will receive 200 coins for you adding them.

You should now be connected as neighbors and gifts may be exchanged and you can visit their airport / city!


If you send a friend request to a forum member:

* You should "tag" them or send them a private message telling them you did so. Many forum members do not accept blind friend requests, especially from possible non forum members. When you input their code (Like instructed above), they will receive 200 coins.

* Once that member has received your friend request, they should input your friend code to complete the connection. This would give you 200 coins.

You should now be connected as neighbors and gifts may be exchanged and you can visit their airport / city!


If you have just started out, you may be unaware that there are also some bonus features that are available in the game that you can take advantage of. These include:

* Every weekend, G! puts out a weekend code. This code gives you 3 greenies, and $2000. in coins when you input it. The code is usually first posted in the Airport City News forum, but someone always posts it in the Windows Weekly Trading thread as well. It can be input into the same place you put friend codes.

* Every other week, G! offers land expansions at 50% off. This is a great way of increasing your airport or city size.

* Every other week opposite from the land expansion sale, is a 300% bank offer, where when you purchase greens or cash with real money, you would get 300% more for the same amount of real money (Ex: instead of 32 greens for $8.99, you would get 96.)

* This site - http://airportcity.wikia.com/wiki/Airport_City_Wiki - is great for finding out what items are needed to complete all buildings, items required for flights, excavation flights, space launches, etc. You should bookmark it for future reference.


The forum also has some special features that you can take advantage of that may interest you as well:

* This thread - https://www.airportcitygame.com/forums/vip-lounge.30/ will allow you to actually become a "VIP member" for a small yearly fee (<$5.00 I believe). This helps gets rid of the ads, and defrays the cost of running this forum, that has benefitted all those that are members! (Plus, everyone here is pretty friendly, helpful and are generally really cool people).


The above are merely suggestions and information to help you with your game play and forum experience. How you choose to proceed is entirely up to you!

I am sorry to see you leave, you were always a good neighbor. The update did bring a lot of headaches to players, more to some than others, and it was a real pain to re-add all our neighbors. If I didn't have so much time and $$$ invested, and so many good neighbors, I probably would have left, also.

If you ever decide to start up again, please add me as a neighbor.

I just go to neighbors list and go from A-Z. Some want the same items daily, which is good. Some like me say FFactory So i take it beds are the finished product to be shipped and e-readers are used to determine the quantity. There is only one piece of machinery and that's what they get. Those who have no gift beside the name get 20 Fuel from KB1 since 1 has the larger of the two lists.

Will be really missed. One of many neighbors who have PM'd me over time and just enjoy coming to my city as there was so much to collect from. She and others would say that I probably have enough neighbors it was hard getting gifts to, (and it is) on a daily basis, so save the gifts for them.
