You do not need to do daily, just every couple of days after adding or upgrading buildings, or purchases to make sure that you have a copy somewhere.

Everyone in this thread is a Window user, and windows has a restore function. If you simply save a restore file every day - takes as much time as doing the savebinfile backup thing. Here is how...

To back up your game (and your entire computer)
You can use the search function and search for Restore - or go directly to system properties, system protection. Click on Create to Set a restore point daily -

If you have a problem with the game. You can go back and restore you entire computer to this point. Yes the restore part does take about 5-10 minutes and isn't as fast as the savebinfile technique.

Another good point to my method is... When you do the savebinfile technique, you are only restoring the game properties. what if there is another problem that is causing your game to crash. a virus, a glitch,??? Where if you Restore through my method, you are restoring the computer to a point where the virus or glitch may not have existed.

If it is a better way to do it, I am up for it. I have a windows tablet, and a lot of the system stuff is hard to find, I haven't been able to find system restore in the past - it is supposed not to need it (yeah, right) - but I have found it now with your prompting, and created a restore point. I am cynical with windows, so will continue both methods, and next time I have an issue, I will try restore point first. Incidentally, I had the issues before the savebin file solution, and got fed up of emailing GI and waiting for codes, hence I gave savebin a go and it worked, and has done since. I believe mine crashes as the windows tablet memory isn't that great, and if I have too much stuff running at once, especially in startup when anti-virus scans and windows updates are all searching and scanning, it seems to lock the game and that is when it reopens blank. You are right that in irresponsible hands, the method could be used to cheat, and we all abhor that.

everybody is trying to complete the subquest of a blue launch. Most people do not know that you can join someone else's launch and get credit for it.

Yes I remember your situation. Yours is one case I think the savebin file comes in handy. Tablets are definitely more fickle.

Thank you for your advice, as a technology newbie I can actually do something to protect my game as I do not understand the savebin thing at all.
I have now created restore point thanks to your guidance

Thanks for all the gifts, mine are also send.
Tomorrow I'm not at home so probably won't be able to send my daily gifts.

I still need 1 communication antenna for the mission control center. Could someone please send it to me since I need to upgrade before I can make a blue launch for the event. Hopefully I'll be ready this weekend and that there are still blue launches on that I can join then.

Today got nothing for the ufo collections, perhaps better next time.

I can only play once a day for about an hour or so since during the day I'm at work and there I can't play, so don't go so fast as some of you, but I'll try and see how far I can become.
