Well as I had threatened - I wanted to leave a parting note at the site this evening. As mentioned earlier this week I am at least suspending playing this game at least until an update comes - if in fact it ever does. Now I have been pretty addicted to this game over the past 13 months so going out cold may not happen. I may check in a little - maybe fly the odd plane send the odd gift but I will not being checking in on the game as I have in the past. Besides being somewhat bored with nothing happening in the game and being quite busy over the next while makes this a pretty easy move. So while I may send the odd gift I am not expecting anyone back from anyone.
I am stepping back having achieved a lot in this game and I did so by spending all of $25 over the last year. For me, I decided I wanted to try and do this and not spend any of my own cash and for the most part I succeeded (but I am sure GI will not be missing me)
However none of this would have been possible without finding this site. I have received so much help from so many of you which I cannot thank you enough. There is no question I would never have played this game so long without all of you, And many of you have been very true friends. I started a spreadsheet soon after I started on this site of the gifts sent and received. And so many of you here at the site have been exchanging gifts since way back at the beginning.
@Nicks has been exchanging with me since Day 1 on the spreadsheet - Dec 19th - and is still doing so today. I also have the following on my spreadsheet on Dec 31 as sending me a gift and all are regulars today doing so - @KenDuckySmith @WhatHappenedNow @Cluck @Comet18 @HS @ItsRalphy @PeterNL @Rainer @Steve26 (who I believe started at this site about the same time I did). I cannot believe we have done this for almost a year now and I thank you very much for helping me get the enjoyment out this game I did.
I added a number of you over the past year - @.sv @Bertje @Captain WH Rollins @Dan Jansen @Derby @Doc @GiftXchange @PP @Robert @sophiaelizebeth @Ten33go @uyetti - you all sent me gifts today. Thank you also for your loyalty.
And to the others I missed I also thank you - many of you who have gifted often over the past year.
Two special thank yours - @rocky - to whom we never gifted each other that often - but who has been a real inspiration to this site with the constant attempts at making the game more fun and this site more fun to visit. And finally to @KenDuckySmith - he has looked after many people's interests at the site and certainly has been so with me. Thank you both.
And finally to these newcomers to the site over the past couple of months that I did not attempt to become friends with. I apologize for not doing so but with my waning interest in the game as well as you can tell the many loyal friends I did have I decided not to add anymore. But there are a number of great people at this site and I am sure many have and will join up with you.
So as I said at the beginning I will be checking in now and then but just on a casual basis. I will follow some of the postings at the site and maybe even chirp in on occasion. It has been a lot of fun and I never ever imagined I would have stuck to playing this game for over a year. I wish all continued enjoyment in the game, thank you for your great friendship over the pat year and wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas and all the best in the New Year.

@strats - I'm sorry to see you leave, as you were one of my first neighbors when I joined about 6 months ago & I appreciated that - Until the game unceremoniously removed each other from our neighbor list.

I also understand your feelings about taking a break. Will still send you gifts now and again as you'll still play occasionally. And I thank you for your gifts as well.

I have purchased a level 5 Runway, built and opened a Flight Catering Facility, and upgraded my Baggage Hall to level 2.
I also took part in the Great Land Grab with @ItsRalphy !!

I have achieved 1st Place on flights to Los Angeles.

I have spent far too much time playing on a daily basis the last two weeks, so will be curtailing my playing time for the rest of the year. Also I will be suspending gifting until the New Year. The further you proceed through the game it is becoming apparent that the inability to visit neighbours becomes more and more limiting.

I have got quite confused with sending/receiving gifts. So please name and shame me here if I owe you. Otherwise I will call it quits.
Should I have anything to gift that you really really want please tag me here or start a 'conversation' with me.

Dear Flyers

I've just finished gifting my 20 gift items for today to my neighbours. Once again, for those of you who I've been unable to gift today, I will make sure and gift tomorrow.

During the past two weeks I've purchased a new plot of land, on the city side, and placed a number of new buildings on said land, increasing my income and passengers. I've also removed and sold a number of surplus buildings from the warehouse, due to the maximum 6 buildings limit, netting almost 1,000k coins.

I've also upgraded, having spent 300,000k coins, one of my Jumbo planes to a Giant plane, opening up a number of new flight destinations and future rewards (after the first flight the plane needed repairing - 12 hours repair time or 2 green notes - I waited of course). In the meantime, I'm continuing to fly to destinations to increase my star skills ratings, complete flight tasks and work up my coinage.

Long term I'm planning to upgrade my Terminal to L7, Control Tower to L7 and Town Hall to L6, although there is no major hurry with these three building upgrades. It will be quite sometime before I reach the limits of each building.

Thanks once again for all the gifts received which makes a great deal of difference to my game play. Without your continued support my game would not be where it currently is.

Apologies for no gifts yesterday, I did manage to get on briefly in the morning when I was up with the dog and the baby but my gifts hadn't reset at that time, then I was busy for the rest of the day. I have seen to it now though, so at least my gift resetting time is AM EST for now.
