My game still suffers from this glitch except that the interval is every 10 minutes or so.

This "glitch" saves your big city on a regular basis, don't blame it too harsh.

If this (almost) guarantees the game is saving, and stops having to visit Madlen every time we play then I am happy to have it happen, an occasional pause/lag to ensure the game is autosaving is fine in my books.
