Looks like there's a stand-off in this event. To get the Dolls you need Fans to fly. To get Fans you need to build Chinese Shop from the Demons with Firecrackers. And Firecrackers you only can get from visiting neighbors or be gifted. So it will be a problem for players with little neighbors or low Reputation Level

I noticed this as well. I am seeing that looks like some are able to gift Fans , but I am getting mostly firecrackers from neighbors

those are who probably participated last year's event and still have leftovers in their inventory

You know when you gift someone, it has nothing to do with what you have in your inventory? I’m kinda confused with it.

I had 9 Firecrackers leftover from last year, I used them all. And I can still gift firecrackers to my neighbors.

Yeah, Firecracker is default but we were talking about Fans

Even if you have Fans in your inventory, you can’t give them away.

People can either send Fans or Firecrackers by default.
