Thanks Brian, it started raining on wednesday (by the bucket full) and it hasn't stopped day and night since then. Wind gusts 130kph (approx. 80mph), 25000 homes in northland alone without power in the first day it hit, trees down, powerlines down, debris everywhere. Auckland, one of our largest cities flooded. Flights cancelled, highways flooded, landslides, I am staying put. There is no sign of imminent danger here, but I have a grab bag ready to go if the situation should deteriorate, for me and my fur baby
