It still is if you dont align your game correctly!!!
Turn it off when travelling. Make sure its in correct time zone before you turn game back on. Wait a couple of hours before turning on. Same procedure in reverse.

I flew to Australia from the UK in March and didn’t have any issues. I even played it over the plane’s internet on the way there and back ok. If you’re unsure, I suggest you close airport city down before you switch off your device upon departure, and only start it up again after your device has picked up the new time zone at your destination.

I played it with a 3-hour time difference a few months ago with no problems. Phone was on auto time zone, and I made sure the phone "synced" to the new time for at least 10 mins before opening up AC.

I was in Miami for a week and did not even think of it. Don't remember playing while flying ... so far no ban!

If it happens its immediate! Mind you can happen when youre sitting in ths garden! Lol
