I tapped Complete Quest today as I am heading for a 5 day trip that would require me to do a lot of things besides playing

The reward is indeed valuable! The building is quite striking, and in addition to money, it increases by 10% the income from commercial buildings on a 2 square radius. Had to do some building rearranging to maximize this 10%, but it was worth it. I still keep my gift shops - it appears they do drop gifts for visitors even after I autocomplete - but I won't be able to return specific gifts, I will simply click return on a FCFS basis as I won't have much time...

Can anyone else confirm that giftshops will keep dropping for your neighbors even after you've hit "complete" the quest?

No more drops for giftshops like guest planes.
I dont know if someone had any drop from my giftshop after I completed the quest. (no feedback)

Anyone playing AC on Windows 8 since the update? Every time my game updates it never works without contacting support. It just goes to the GameInsight screen and then closes. I'd like to know if it's just me or if its a Windows 8 problem.
PS If I'm your buddy, don't delete me - I'm just having trouble getting on!

Can anyone else confirm that giftshops will keep dropping for your neighbors even after you've hit "complete" the quest?

Your own gift shops VERY SELDOM drop items (the collections remain, you simply keep collecting year-round.
Your visitors tapping on your gift shops still works. Confirmed from an iOS neighbor of mine (after I completed). Also confirmed for me after visiting a neighbor in Android (with the Chrysler building there).

The only thing that changes when you complete the quest is the drop rate for your own gift shops for you, and if there were any quest gifts (i.e. pruning shears, nets, etc.), those items, and the guest planes (for you).

So if you don't need to 3* the flights, it's safe (for your neighbors) to complete.

Same happened to both my games at one point @Capt. Bama . Do as @Robby Kusuma says contact 404. You have to rename your game and play up to level 3 and they will send you a restore code.

I had problem with Jefferson (looks like it is either OS related or even different from player to player (maybe related to gift group).
