Oh we could learn so much from you! - the British are always BBQ'ing in summer, but we are so basic in what we cook (or maybe just me LOL!).Damn, you're making me hungry and it's only 8:36 am my time in Sydney!
A family birthday BBQ today and I'm the chef (I once was). I've been marinating chicken thighs overnight in olive oil, a dash of vinegar, white wine, garlic and Italian flat-leaf parsley, to put on the grill - I only use wood charcoal and chunks of real wood. I also have some aged Rib eye steaks. I'm baking scalloped potatoes (thickened cream, onions and a dash of nutmeg and pepper on each layer). Garden fresh asparagus sauteed in lemon juice and garlic, along with a nice greek salad.
I'll throw a steak on for you, captain. AND I'll enjoy it too!
