GIS have released an update "The Great Game" V1.65 (V1.66 for some)

New features are:
Airport City game icon changed

New promo "The Great Game" (14 days to complete)

1x Build a Stadium by completing the It’s a goal collection from Brazilian Villa and the Brazilian Cottage
4x Fly to Sao Paulo, Lima, Buenos Aires to complete the Carnival Magic Collection
4x Visit the Stadium to complete the Fan Zone collection

Brazilian Villa – 700coins, 2x2 size, yields 24 passengers/4hrs (1hr build time, 200 coins to speedup)
Brazilian Cottage – 200 coins, 1x1, yields 6 passengers /1hr
Coffee Bar – 600 coins, 1x1, yields 12 coins/20mins(30mins build time, 100 coins speedup)
Unique Gifts – 1500 coins, 2x2, yields 205 coins/48hrs (2hrs build time, 550 coins speedup) (thanks rodyw)


Three new collection (50 in total)
Its’s a Goal (complete from Brazilian Villa and the Brazilian Cottage) get a Stadium as a reward
Fan Zone (complete from Stadium)
Carnival Magic (drops from Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires, Lima)

Three new destinations:
Sao Paulo – Turbo Jet
Buenos Aires - Jet
Lima – Delta (5hr flight)

1 Extra Gift item added (36 in total) {New gift is either Goal posts, bench, robotic lawnmower or video board}

TIP: Do not complete the collections till the last minute - drop rate tends to be higher then

Update2:
Items for the Stadium (Goal posts, bench, robotic lawnmower and video board) can be got from flights to Goa, Rio and New York - Cyprus (is a good one if you have a smaller plane leftover and lot easier to speedup!!!)


More info to follow:

when completed you get a "Football Monument" 1x1, 9 coins/10mins (1hr build time 50 coins to speedup)

Yes, it is iPad (iOS) update as well. Looks interesting, just updated the game.
Just there it looks it is resolution change. Now default resolution (75%) is huge, as 125% before. More sliding is needed and i really do not like that. Already wrote to GI, looking for reply...

Goal posts, bench, robotic lawnmower and video board are for building the stadium, well robotic lawnmover definitely is as I have one and its listed for stadium parts in the invertory, so assuming the other three are, and you'll prob need 4 of each. Can be got from: Goa, Rio, New York, all seldom

Sent 3 support cases about iPad version
Screen resolution now makes game unplayable
Neighbours names still not fixed
Get error trying to add new Neighbour - Promo code not valid

Definitely not technical improvements.
Seems GI have screwed up this update even worse than the last.

So after building the Coffee Bar, I now realise that they add nothing but flavour to this game and I should have built more Brazilian Cottages instead.
I will have to demolish some buildings soon as I have run out of greenies and land.
