iOS The game freezes with every dropped item

Yes, I'm logged into Game Center. Unfortunately Game Center on iOS does not store the progress of the game, it's only keeping an info about some vague 'levels' (trophies/ milestones/ goals) achieved in the game.

Ok, was worth a shot. On Android there is similarly Google Play games and experienced same described behavior when game wasn't connected\logged in as shown under in game settings.

So I took a backup of my iPad and wiped it... re-added the game.

So my game is currently at 850 MB.

But the issue with the slowness and hanging is still there.

Same here @dr_fly – I suppose that the databases of our games are corrupt and G! won't do anything with it.

I'm having the same issues with freezes when items are dropped from buildings or planes on windows and android, tried to start new game on android, new game worked well, problem returned as soon as Iinked back to my old game. Events is just impossible to do with this freezing issue.

I had an Android game that experienced "Server Connection Error" ....I believe to to many planes in warehouse. Also, no one has spoken of the doubling of passengers in VISA. One of my games has 300+K and another 400+K. One game mysteriously resolved "Server Connection Error". One still is yet to resolve.
The solutions is simple, if the issue is hundreds of planes in warehouse. Allow player to sell from warehouse. If one sells now from warehouse, no plane is deducted and no coins received. Player must transfer to tarmac, then sell. Tedious and time consuming. Natalie states that she will forward for future considerations. This is G! APATHY!

I suppose that the database holding my city and all my items is damaged, because I found thousands of Tropical Falcons in my warehouse which I cannot use nor sell.
I also tried to contact GI for help. They claim they know the problem and will implement a solution in the next big update, but: 1. there were no updates of the AC app for over a year (only some event data are injected into the game on the beginning of the event) and 2. there is no sign of similar problem on this forum, so I don't know if the problem is common or individual.

Has anyone experienced similar problems or knows the way how to solve it?
I will appreciate any hint, but before you reply "free/ add RAM, kill unused apps or buy a new device" I'll repeat: this issue seems not to be device-dependent.

To cheer you up, I have a similar problem as well. The game freezes with every collection completed and item dropped off (especially annoying when the event items/currency drop off). And there are thousands of black condors in my warehouse! This I appreciate actually I take 14 of them, use them, and sell them to make space for other machines However, no problems at all on the smaller accounts I visit from time to time (even those on the 80 lvl). So I assumed the issue was with the size of my city and airport (I already used all the possible squares to grow my city).

Hey @nattan, your troubles doesn't cheer me up – I wish we all had a smoothly running game with a bunch of new events each year . Yes, each event with its currency is a nightmare. Your thesis about the size of the city may have some strong foundations, because my main city is also quite big (but not up to the limits) when my support games have no freezes at all.
