I'm a bit of a fanatic for Christmas. I especially love the blown glass ornaments that I've seen while traveling in Europe. These are very hard to find in Canada but I have managed to get quite a collection going. I put up two trees each year - two different theses. But every decoration on each tree is unique. Here is just a small sample of some of the ornaments I have collected over 30 years.

How much would a time-trial/triathlon bike cost?

It must be a good few thousand to purchase and then to maintain?

How much insurance would this type of bike be?

Yeah, you can spend thousends on a bike and their parts.
i can maintain my bike myself, had some features 3d-printed for finetuning
most of the parts (if planning goes correct) you can transfer from one bike to another, wheels; steering; saddle, derailleurs, crankset, brakes
my current time-trial bike with all the wheel-sets and specific competiton setup is insuranced for 15.000 Euro

expensive hobby, triathlon is (yoda will say)
besides the bike there is: shoes (both training and competition for both cycling and running), wetsuit (training/competition) for swimming, trisuits (normal and national)
and offcourse the travelling. i have my own camper so it's driving and sleeping close by. no hotel-cost and for me that's a bit of vacation. will travel a week before race-day, have some training on the course and stroll along the city if possible

@CRK do you have a room that looks like this? This is a friend of mine in Australia
We moved last january so the indoor training room is part of the garage with tools and workbenches
when finished we have two smart trainers (one for me, one for my son), a treadmill (also not delivering launch ready boxes ;-) ) and a indoor pool in which we can swim with elastic band
offcourse a small kitchen to prepare bidons and a cabinet with ikea-boxes to sort all the equipment. wheels will be hanging on the ceiling.
so work in progress but very enthusiastic about it, looking very forward to when it is finished
btw, both my son and me have only one bike. mine is time-trial specific, his is a more conventional one because he can participate in so called stayer competition (riding in a group) where i do only the individual starts.
Current mess:

We share a collecting interest. I must have enough for five trees now. Here some decorations that made it to the one tree we have set up this year.

More than one year has now passed since I last enjoyed a few frames of snooker. The CV19 pandemic has put an end to this and other hobbies of great interest. I look forward someday to this and many other enjoyable activities, shared once again with good friends.

Have been playing a great deal of Backgammon against the computer recently, the first 3 levels present no real problem, however levels 4 and 5 are really quite demanding and certainly a challenge.

I added to my collection of Swarovski annual star ornaments this again year. I now have 16 - with some very old (and expensive) ones still to add to my collection
Yes, you are quite right, some of the old ornaments can be experience and become quite rare to find
