New Zealand (Aotearoa), absolutely beautiful countryside and stunning scenery, was shaped by eons of volcanoes and earthquakes, it’s how our land came to be, mother nature hasn’t finished doing her job. Thank you to all those concerned about this little Kiwi, but when you live on an island that is prone to volcanoes going bang (Whakaari / White Island), and the Alpine Fault (AF8), there’s not really a lot you can do about it, it's just something you live with every single day.

This one actually missed us Dizzy, it wasn't on our fault line, everyone else seemed to feel it though. There doesn't appear to be any reports of damage or injury, though it was described by one resident as "a bloody good shake". It did trigger a small tsunami, nothing of any great height, but people warned to stay off the beaches, etc.
