Just a general question to everyone who has been playing on the iOS platform longer than me - is there any reason we can not combine the iPad and iPhone threads into one - so we benifit from it more and make gifting more effective?

At which time zone is this thread made?

if we go with what happens on the android thread... Generally speaking it is started when most of the country is just waking up or already woken up (lets say 0600 or 0700 GMT) it does mean some of the people in the edges of the time zone are over lapped into two threads - but it is trying to find the compromise which kind of suites most people.

Although it says the thread will be locked in 24hrs – generally speaking the previous day’s thread is left open just in case… there is no reason why you cannot quote a post from yesterday’s thread in today’s thread..

Hope that kind of makes sense to you…

Nope, everything between IPad and IPhone cross. Also have a lot of IPad users an iPhone game, Posts for those ae mostly on the iPad thread. I would say.... Combine iPad and iPhone. Android a separate thread....

I play both iPad and iPhone and prefer one thread.
Also, as an alternative to a daily thread, if that proves to be too much of a change, perhaps a weekly thread that runs Sunday through Saturday.

Eh... ;-) most important thing for me is to know when to expect a new thread (which would be 8 or 9am for me) and if quoting a post from a previous thread is possible, then there is no real problem. I've made bookmarks anyway for most friends info section to go to their signature directly when gifting.

Ditto - I would prefer a single thread for ipad and iPhone. greensmith - Tom's idea of a weekly IOS thread could be also be workable - it would help the mods with the admin time and save more time for gifting tdv

Well,if this would be the way to go, may I suggest to keep the weekend together: instead of "from Sunday to Saturday", from Saturday to Friday or from Monday to Sunday?

Dave . i agree and to also quote previous suggestions, a daily or a weekly thread for iDevice and android players should be effective and less cluttered.

I get confused with this! Is the iPad and iPhone version of Airport City the same? If so i'll merge into one.

Dave - as far as I can see the iPhone game (mine) is the same as the one on the iPad - so if all are in agreement - merging them into iOS version makes more sense...

tdv Pakman greensmith etc etc i support the weekly concept. Just pick sat to sun or sun to sat. Much better than daily or monthly. Another thought split the month in two pieces. I have seen this before. Perhaps adding the iPhone would make that a bit large. Just my 3 cents! Bill

Hi Dave and tdv, Since october we are playing the game on iPad and iPhone. They both get the updates at the same time (day), gifts cross, same quests, etc. Like on android (odd and even version) there are different versions for Phone and tablet but the basis are the same. There is no reason why the split is needed in treads.

billsnj - I think the ios version of the game is popular enough to have a daily version now. Having a thread that gets too long makes it complicated and can put people off.
