General Steel Institute

Steel institute requires slabs to build which were an item from the event awhile back (the dead people event with burial vaults) Where can you get the slabs to build the steel institute? I did not participate in the event but received quite a few slabs so I purchased six burial vaults and built them with the slabs I received and now I do not have enough to build the steel institute (I had no idea an event item would be needed to build a building earned by completing collections with a map.

FYI Steel Institute is earned by completing the Spacewalk collection 3 times: collecting items by flying to Novosibirsk (a map obtained in chests for first place in a green launch)

I have a steel institute in my warehouse that I simply don't have space to build. I didn't realize it required those same slabs...? That's a little silly. I hope this doesn't mean you have to wait for that event again to acquire the slabs.

Hopefully someone can shed light on this. I'm curious too.

I don't know the name anymore, but during the event there was a chest containing 10-20 (?) slabs. Normally you can still buy those event chests from the store...

I also got a Steel Institute by flying to Novosibirsk.
I did not need "slabs" to build it, as you can see >>>

Maybe you should contact GI and get them to sort it out ?

I have it in my city as well and I did not need any additional slabs.

Mine finishes building in 7 hours so I will know for sure --- when I first got it, it said it needed slabs (four of each) to build it - maybe that was in error - I will post back when it finishes building.

My steel institute just finished building and it does NOT need slabs. When I first got it before I started building it, it had the icon that showed other items needed and it showed four of each slab was needed to build it. Apparently this is a bug - fortunately nothing is needed to finish the building.
