Special bonuses

Hello,

It seems GI is sensitive to the current situation.

I have just received a "one week" bonus including two "a friend in need". They encourage everyone this way to stay at home, so do I.

Edit: It seems these bonuses come through an update. On Android, I received it automatically. Is also available on Windows.

Be aware that the friend in need bonus you get for free is activitated immediately. If you already visited your neighbors, you can re-visit them to click the remaining five items (but you have to revisit the exact same neighbors as you already did today).

I had one active who ended this morning, the one I activated in the afternoon did not give me any additional visits so I'm assuming it will just re-set the length of the activation period to 7 days.

Finally updated on my Crsnt1 game - it gave me 7 additional days to the 5 I still had active, so now I have 12 days of a Friend in Need. KInd of a waste, as I only use the bonus during events, but can't look a gift horse in the mouth. I'll find a use for those extra days!

The removal of the hearts showing which you visited makes it 'fun'...
The extra items seemed to give better drop-rate of cutters - but I am sure it aint changed - just seemed that way.
In addition - the drop rate of 'valuable cargo' also seems to have increased. 2 in previous weeks 140 odd piles... and just got 3 more this morning - within 30 piles.

The update is available on iOS: 7.14.23. But it says it’s the St. Patrick’s Day quest. That’s weird.

Did anybody notice when you click on the 'Airport Cash' you get this description:
To earn Airport Cash, increase your level, play the game daily and participate in game events. You can also buy Airport Cash at the bank.

Level up give greens -> check
Play the game daily -> check using daily reward. 2 greens every 25 days
buy at the bank -> no thanks
How can you earn greens by 'participating in events'???

Another way of getting AC cash is by Friday bonus.

Some events have a few side-missions that are only shown to first-timers, which help you getting started with the event (e.g., it tells you to fly to a specific event-destination to acquire some item, or it tells you to visit some building, etc.). I think (but I'm not sure) the reward for completing some of these side-missions sometimes is a greenie.
